Divisive characters like Sera will always be included in these games, they add more talking points and analysis so I can't see that happening myself.

 

Fair enough, but the possibility could still happen. If they have a character like Sera again, the chances of said character being changed slightly to fit the wider audience can and probably will happen.

I will be annoyed if the next DA game is full of boring serious beards like Solas and Blackwall... and to an extent, Cassandra, though her menstrual cycle at the start of the game eventually ends and she becomes amusing. Still, nowhere near as great as Sera.

Here a rule for ya : Dont bad mouths others charachter in here . we like to stay neutral.....

 

And many of us in here , Love Cass and had tears for not being able to romance her...(or in some case , dont even mention her cose some are still hurt for not being able to romance her) ...

I like Blackwall...but he is so not warden like......unlike Duncan . 

 

And they arent boring..well maybe Solas but then it is more a personal taste then anything else . Many find him fun and attractive and what not .

Character bashing and PMS jokes are in poor taste. Please stop. 

 

I was a bit 'meh' on Blackwall too, but I've started digging into his personality a little. Interesting things to find...

 

Oh, and that pseudo-psychology thread would include all the characters, not just Sera. I'm not hoping to change anyone's opinion, I just want to have a discussion, see if others saw something I missed or different interpretations of a given reaction. All the characters are interesting. Whether they are likeable or not is a matter of preference. So many issues to sort through though... Except Josie. She's too well adjusted, especially in contrast to Leliana who is a wreck. (I'll fix you, Leli baby!)

Arguing with haters/people with diametrically opposed views... I've done it and I'm not a fan, because I don't like getting stressed out by people who I'm never going to convince anyway. What I try to do when I do find myself involved in such things is to convince anyone reading the debate who may be doubting that mine is the more reasonable position. I think that's a far more sensible goal.

As to not making more characters like Sera? She inspired hate, so they made a character that people remember. I'm sure Lukas feels that he did his job well.

All the characters in the game have grown on me to the point where I might like some less than others (Viv) but I've found sympathetic aspects to all of them. I did Blackwell's personal quest and revelations over the weekend. I was very impressed with what BioWare did here. Blackwell went from being a character I was very on the fence about to being one I find more interesting now that his big secret is known to me (I did manage to avoid all spoilers about his big reveal till now).

 

This is really the best cast of any DA game yet and people will see that in time.
