Speaking of that particular judgement, which advisor's suggestion do you prefer in the associated war table mission? I have to say Leliana's is both hilarious and terrifying. Josephine's is surprisingly nasty and Cullen's reeks of 'why me?'. ![]()

I went with Cullen since he was the only one available...what happens with the others?

I really need to pay more attention to the war table stuff, I have a tendency to look at the time and take the one with the shortest time. Sad I know but I'm going to start paying more attention right now.

Be sure to read the reports too! I forget which mission it was, but if Josephine does it we get supplies with fancy candles which 'you will have to pry from my cold dead fingers'. If you pick Leliana she finds chocolates that she keeps. 'You may have the supplies, Inquisitor, but the chocolates are mine'.
Sera's mission (the Vershiel march) is gold. Cullen is very happy with the results and he asks us not to tell Sera he said so. ![]()

You mean you don't know?
Spoiler
You don't have to let her kill Celene. Same thing happens if you have Cullen detain Florianne.

So far, my qunari archer and Sera (as an archer) are working really well together.
I like the qunari archer I made recently but she's not very far...need to finish human warrior/elf mage first. Archery is really fun in this game and I think a bow is a good weapon for a merc.
I still need to finish finish the game on a character (I usually quit after main story and leave exploration areas unfinished).

How early/late into the game did you manage to start Sera's romance? As in suggesting you should get to know each other better and not having her say 'let's travel around more'.
In my current playthrough, I've found that heading out to the world map and clearing a few more quests (especially if they're ones that let you put someone on trial and decide the verdict in a way that Sera approves of) has allowed me to clear those hurdles.

So I finished my second playthrough. Which was a lot better than the first for various reasons.
My impression is that Sera is a nuanced character. She's hard to read but there's an underlying and consistent logic there, once you get a feel for it. The romance was enjoyable, which I don't normally find. All round one of my favourite BioWare characters.
My main complaint is that the romance feels linear. Originally I mistook this for her not growing, but I think it's really a structural thing. The romance basically goes thing happens: do you wish to proceed? At its best there's maze of dialogue choices to get lost in but that's always short term. Maybe it's not realistic to expect more than that though.
This time I let Dalish arrogance kill the romance after the Temple which was interesting. What actually seems to get to Sera is the thought that she doesn't understand what happened because she's stupid. I didn't find it exactly satisfying, but then I don't like the happy conclusion really either, so, I don't know.
Take that, Florianne!
It's a good thing Jo had the foresight to teach Trix the male steps.
Though part of me wonders how all Inquisitors being required to dance with Gaspard would have gone down.

You should definitely finish up the exploration areas. The more you explore, the better loot and crafting material you will have. It's very rewarding in the long run, but I can understand not wanting to do it with every single character you make.
I think if I hadn't explored so much on my first run I would have finished at lvl 16-17, about 7-9 levels short of what I was by the end of my game (lvl 25).
They weren't kidding when they said exploration matters.

Well here is why I still love my elf the most. I hope you enjoy the drawing as much as I do.

Edit: Sorry, I wasn't clear but this is the commission art that JadePrince made for me.
Wow, nice drawing indeed. ![]()
The Sera hate is strong in other parts of the BSN. A common complaint is that she is one dimensional and doesn't get character development. I agree with the latter part, she doesn't grow all that much over the story, but as for being one dimensional... Can't agree there.
I've been thinking about starting a thread where I post my pseudo-psycho-analyses of each character. I've been stalking everyone like mad, observing their surroundings, dissecting their banters and generally reading way too much into the smallest details. But I'm scared of the haters.
Do it! If anyone harasses you I'm going to shield bash them all >.>
I sent him a PM saying sorry. I didn't intend for him to think I didn't like him. Hopefully he will see that and come back post haste, but if he doesn't, then feel free to kick me out. He was here before me, I don't see why I should get to stay and he should leave.
Poodle, did you upset Serza? Bad boy, bad!
That is goddamn hilarious!
Welcome back Arty, glad you had a blast woofing it!
Thank you! ![]()
I swear, it was purely by chance, didn't know she liked lady qunaris that much. ![]()

Well... A Seramancing inquisitor is likely to want to know to dance with women, I'd've thought, so more likely to learn both roles. Josie and Leliana can probably do both in their sleep...

It seems we have many of the same characters, I started and finished my elf warrior but my human warrior is stuck at Mythal. My elf mage is at level 10 or 11 and my qunari archer is level 5 which I'm working on now. I'll eventually finish them but right now my goal is to have my qunari caught up with the elf mage. I've got a lot of grinding to do in the Hinterlands, Storm coast and Fallow Mire, then I will be caught up with my mage.

I was going to ignore Emprise, Emerald Graves, and the Hissing Wastes because I was being a pansy, but now that I've almost finished the Emerald Graves I'm really glad I'm going through the side areas.
You get a little extra story and interesting lore.

The extra story stuff was really cool, too. I liked the dwarven ruins in the Hissing Wastes and the story they were trying to convey.

Given it's a formal dance at a noble ball I reason only human would likely know how to dance before the Inquisition. Everyone else gets a crash course after the invitation arrives.
But yes it's easy enough to explain. Though I also assume the scene only happens at all because RPGs and quantum gender.

Yeah, I can't just focus on one character for some reason xd
I'll probably finish the warrior this holiday weekend. She's on Nightmare and I'm just doing story missions with her. I think I'll try to explore everything with my elf or qunari or both.

Oh yeah, I think that the idea of a Dalish in particular knowing human dance steps is more outlandish than a woman knowing the "male" role, which is why I went with your "learned from Josie" angle...
