Just finished In Your Heart Shall Burn on nightmare. I don't want to talk about it, other than it's FINALLY over and I can move on with my life and get those Sera smooches.I'm about to start a Nightmare run with a human mage...wish me luck, I'll need some.
...so good luck. It's not as hard as I thought it would be, overall. You have to take your time and pick your battles and know all your skills, but the only real problems I've had so far were with the big main quest battles like Champions of the Just and that battle I just finished who will not be spoken of.
F**k terror demons and the Fallow Mire tho, srsly. Hate that place. It was actually one of my favorite areas before I went there on Nightmare.

I think the mire is my least favorite area. That fight you have with the Avvar chief is really tough and the undead fight before the fortress but other than that there is nothing else, it seems, to do there.

That undead fight, you can skip that you know. Your companions even say, "run to the gate" or something like that.

I didn't even clear it out I got so mad at constantly being knocked on my ass and killed by those demons. I'll go back in a bit and do it when I'm stronger, lol. I cleared it with a level 6 character on casual, lmfao. Casual is amazing.
I effing loooove casual. Couldn't beat the game otherwise.

It's just so gloomy and empty. For all the platforming hell, Forbidden Oasis is really pretty.

The first time I did just that but I went back to the Mire later to do "Memories of The Grey" and this time I was like "let's kick some ass!"

It is pretty, I just wish there was more to do there besides the Temple you seem to need 42 million shards for! ![]()

I'm scared now. Which is...good? ![]()
I hope that being a mage will help me in staying out of the fray and live longer.

Just don't draw aggro. And don't get too close. And don't draw aggro.

So much fun with a DW rogue, lmao. My Cadash didn't fall once the entire game, killed half of the stuff before they even saw her, and after Skyhold, rarely even took damage. I didn't get any combat banter til towards the end (banter bug/sound issues) so I had to actually work for it when I wanted to see what people would say when she fell/took damage in combat.

Haha, rogues are grand. Between my spinning and throwing knives, I was a damage machine!

Put another mage in your party and dual barriers is amazing for NM.

I am playing a mage! The only classss I think would be particularly hard are DW and 2H.

I did it 2H. Fairly simple actually. ![]()

Is it wrong that I want someone to do an in depth of Cassandra? Not that its needed but these make for interesting reads.

2H with a doubleheaded axe is great. Turn your stamina reserve down to 20% and you can get 10 or 12 turns. So stand between 2 enemies, eviscerate them, and you get something like 24 hits!

Just finished mine! Level 21, 50 hours. The hardest part was getting to skyhold. The pride demon I was saved from wiping out only by my guardian barrier (Thank you human second starting skill). The last trebruchet on Hushed whispers caused me much frustration though =p So good luck ;D
It's not so bad after you get to skyhold though, still some rough points but so much easier. I picked Knight Enchanter though so it made it feel a bit easier too, especially doing things a level above what I was supposed to.

LP, did you not have squishy problems at first? My 2H on hard is now unstoppable killing machine, but until Skyhold there were def a lot of hairy moments.
