The only problem with 2H is that in the beginning, you have to build them pretty tanky, otherwise they are so squishy for a melee character. Grappling Hook + Mighty Blow will take down one character real fast, but in mobs....
LP, did you not have squishy problems at first? My 2H on hard is now unstoppable killing machine, but until Skyhold there were def a lot of hairy moments.
Oh, I had a few. I found the best way was hold back whilst Cass ran in and taunted as many as possible. It's surprising how well a crap starting shield actually benefits you greatly.

I didn't find Jacob boring. He suffers from a few things, like that his loyalty mission is weak and femshep can't talk to him without needing a sexual harassment suit slapped on her, but I think he's underrated. Has a lot of problems, but he's got a certain charm to him I think.
well he wasnt boring to ya..but he was boring to many . Me first ! I got dibs !!!
he has no tact , he is booring and.....so...err......insensitive? I mean , when ya meet him in Mass effect 3 , he is like 'yeah I went to the beach...and started day dreaming'...while ya just saw earth being torn apart.......while ya were being prisoner , while reaper are shooting every fleet to kaboum land.....while peoples are giving their life to hold the reapers at bay .....Sir Knight is by the beach..day dreaming.....right .
Oh and add to that...he is all 'Unsure' about watever ya choose to do with his father....great....so he is sebastian . cant decide..but then get all guilty..and make ya feel like an ass......
then there is the romance with him..that alone earn him to be killed in the suicide mission.... ![]()

Just don't draw aggro. And don't get too close. And don't draw aggro.
I'll try to be as aggro-less as possible.
I am playing a mage! The only classss I think would be particularly hard are DW and 2H.
Put another mage in your party and dual barriers is amazing for NM.
That's the plan! I was thinking about bringing Vivienne with me as the second mage. ![]()
Just finished mine! Level 21, 50 hours. The hardest part was getting to skyhold. The pride demon I was saved from wiping out only by my guardian barrier (Thank you human second starting skill). The last trebruchet on Hushed whispers caused me much frustration though =p So good luck ;D
It's not so bad after you get to skyhold though, still some rough points but so much easier. I picked Knight Enchanter though so it made it feel a bit easier too, especially doing things a level above what I was supposed to.
Thank you! ^^
I got a party wipe from the Pride demon the first time, then got the hang of the fight and beat him on the second try. I did not have guardian barrier, though, just Fade Step.
I was thinking about going Rift mage, and having Vivienne as the KE. I like the idea of being a debuffer/spellslinger. ![]()

That's a good combo actually. I was a KE (so hard to kill lmao. I barely lost health especially after +5 guard fade touched silverite. Thank you RNG) and I brought solas with me the whole game for crowd control. Basically rolled with Sera, Solas and Cass. Worked rather well, at least for me!

Well, I've exhausted pretty much all the areas except for the Hissing Wastes. Time to advance the plot a little. Should I go to the Western Approach or Orlais first? Decisions decisions... In previous runs I always went to the Western Approach first. Maybe I should go the ball first... I hate that mission though. Stupid halla statues.

I love Blackwall. He's the best tank in the game with his spec, his banters with Sera are the highlight of the game for me (just because they're friends and awwwwwwww)

yeah..he has a nice..complecity with Sera....and even go to tease Solas....
but his ranting about warden being heroes...that just come off.....bad? like he is preaching to himself..and doesnt believe it or something so he has to keep saying it.........

This is why I've been using him a lot more recently.
My warrior went Champion and I'm just more familiar with that spec...and it's awesome.

I didn't even bother getting them all. Is it worth it? I went to the Approach first. There were a couple of cool missions there that made it fun. I found the ball kind of tedious till I got to the fight with Florianne and had a dance with Cassandra.

I actually killed the Pride demon really easily on Nightmare and was feeling really smug, but anytime you feel smug on Nightmare, you'll run into a bear. It's like a rule. And then if you're strong enough to kill one bear without a problem, you'll get mobbed by several of them and then some bandits with dogs will join in and then a lyrium smuggler lurker and you're like OK I GET IT ILL STOP BEING SMUG.
Ok, I'll also stay as little as possible in the Hinterlands...and any areas with bears. O.O
I was thinking of rolling with Vivienne, Blackwall as the tank, maybe swapping him with Cassandra during demon-heavy fights, and lastly either Sera or Varric as a ranged rogue.

It is so worth it. You don't even have to do the fight with Florianne, and you can make her your jester, and you can become puppet master of Orlais.

But I'm going rift Mage, so probably swapping Solas out for Viv, since I have run Blackwall/Sera/Dorian sooooo much (FAVORITE TEAM) and maybe should try something new. Slightly new.

It is so worth it.
Getting the statues? Ok I will try next time just so I can see what the reward is. I wanted to make Florianne a jester but I got her fight instead and killed her.
I own Orlais now any way. It's pretty clear that politically at least Celene owes me her throne and my armies are everywhere in Orlais. It's also telling that Orlais personages are even more prominent in Skyhold.

The ending you can get with all the statues is Celene, Gaspard, and Briala all under your thumb.

Actually, I think Champion is totally unnecessary. 1h Cass is tanky enough and the Charging Bull + Wrath of Heaven + SpellBreaker combo is just so awesome.

Oh man really?? Ok well I muffed that one then! Briala basically got away scot free and I was hoping to get a hold of her and put her in Leliana's hands! ![]()

IB is the warrior who is definitely weaker on NM. He and Cole are so hard to get to work well.

I'm currently playing my completionist playthrough with a Dalish Archer. 30 hours in and I'm just about ready to do In Hush Whispers. Good god, how big is this game? Why is there so much dialogue?
I plan on my party being Cass + Iron Bull + Vive or Dorian + Me. Iron Bull has some great banter with everyone. I'll be mixing my party up a lot I sense.
