Anyways, Anyone want to guess How long till people start coming up with ideas for Sera-related fanfics?
Until we know enough about her.
That is to say, when the game is out. ![]()

I'm sure it already exists somewhere.
From everything I hear, I like her character: Outspoken, blunt, most likely funny, not stuck up, pragmatic ("what's to do now!"), not wrapped up in any ideological wars, caring for people without power, anti-political, open for change, sassy.Basicly, everything Vivienne is not. So while I think Vivienne is prettier, and more useful in combat, personality-wise, I think most of my inquisitors will like Sera and hate Vivienne.Which doesn't make Vivienne bad. My Inquisitors may hate her, but she can still be very well written.
I'm going to roll with Sera/Vivienne in the part a lot my first pt. Should be fun ![]()
I'm sure my Dalish mage Inquisitors will respect Vivienne (being another mage) but they won't see eye to eye on...mage stuffs. i'm looking forward to do whatever rival path thingy we can in DA:I with Vivienne.
Germania
Outskirts of Redcliffe?
Gladiator.

Just to say, I'm still open to surprises. Don't get me wrong. I don't even want to look at too much pre-release material as it is. I'd rather stumble through my first playthrough.
But I do know what kind of women I'm attracted to. That doesn't change much. And at first glance, I don't think they covered enough bases for the different types of guys out there.
That was FAST.
I was looking for something on FF about a month ago but didn't really find anything.

Because FF does not do stuff like that early. I am thinking of doing a story that is Sera-related in a way.

To be fair, it seems more Fenris centric... but Sera is in it.
AO3 has 59 Inquisition related fics already.

Okay? This is creepy.

Come to think of it, maybe Vivi holds appeal for those who liked Morrigan (not Miranda). Morrigan had a lot of fans. They both strike me as similarly ambitious... just in different ways. And both seem to have manuevered their way into Orlais' powerbase.
That said, I always found that aspect of Morrigan pathetic too. Or ambitious people in general. My motto is kind of "live in the moment", and not categorize people by their wealth or power.
Anyways.. Sorry to derail. I'll cut it short now.

As someone who loved Morrigan, I can't really say I like Viv for the same reasons. I'm not even sure how I really feel about Vivienne, to be honest. But she's come a long way since her initial reveal last year. So I'd say so far so good for me.
In terms of personality, I don't expect Viv to be similar to Morrigan at all in that regard. Not the impression I'm getting from what little details we have of her.
Every time I see hate for Sera being lesbian, I listen to this song.

Is there even a lot of hate for this? I thought there was one guy awhile back. Easily ignored. ![]()

There are in other online places, same with Viv hate.

Ah. Once I get interested in a site (like BSN for now), I forget about everything else.

Try some less moderated forums.Sticking to one forum often gives a very skewed view of something.
Not to mention all the guys whining about being "stuck with" Vivienne and Cassandra. As though they're partially chewed dog food.

Morrigan was extremely independant. She relied on herself and didn't like to have any strings attached. She was also very critical of society's rules, some of whom she was absolutely abysmal at. I guess she changed.
Vivienne relishes in society, manipulation of society and status of society. She needs the respect and admiration of others. Also, she's a defender of the status quo.
Look at the way Morrigan dresses in DAO vs. how Vivienne dresses. One says "I don't care what you think about me", the other says "I want to show you that I am better than you and you have to respect me for this".
I rooted for Morrigan. Her independance, her cleverness, how she critized the superstitions of the people who believed everything that was shoved at them. I have yet to experience Vivienne, but I can't imagine rooting for a stuck up rich ******.
Back to Sera, who I am rooting for. Again, independant. Wildcard. Doesn't need high heels to feel self-confident.

I wouldn't say they're dog food. Not at all. It's just about what i keep saying... the appeal lies in the Archetypes behind a character. I hate to sound lame and pretentious here, but certain archetypes appeal from instinct. Some men like Artemis. Some like Aphrodite. Some like a Bonnie and Clyde pairing.
edit: Eh, maybe I should just say "People like what they like."
You can't force anything.

You're one of the better ones about it. Most I seen dismiss Cass with a comment about dressing like a man or having a jawline stronger than their neckbeard (I assume neckbeards are involved).

I would gladly trade them for Cass if she turns out to be straight, but alas, lol

She's not on my hatelist though. So I don't say anything negative about Cass anyways. I still like her. It's just sort of... not my first choice. Not the lens I wanted to view the game from (if that makes sense.)

yea i'm like that too, i haven't been on the deadpoolbugle forums in a long time because of this site
