I love how if you find that stuff about the occularums in that room by the lake in Redcliffe, your companions all react with horror. That doesn't happen with your standard codex entry...

I've actually been focusing on getting nice equpiment for Cole so I can take him with me everywhere....he's just so interesting to have around, but I'm on NM so I need those guard on hit daggers and some higher tier armor before I do that. :

 

Don't know who I'll replace him with tho. I mean, Sera's my LI, Cass is the tank, and I need a tank still....maybe Solas then, but sigh, then I have to actually remember to cast barrier often, he's always saving my butt with his AI barriers.

If you use silverite, you can equip Cole with heavy armor. The sturdy battlemaster coat has a particularly interesting look for Cole. (think Edward Scissorhands)

I didn't think I'd like it, but I do! I mean I almost rage quit during In Your Heart Shall Burn, and the only thing that kept me going was knowing that I'd already out 20 hours in and that it would be easier afterwards.

I'm probably a middle level player tho, some people are like soloing on NM and whining about it being so easy and I'm like o.O

Exactly. I like that they broke the standard "codex pops up, read, dismiss" mechanic that way. It really made it feel impactful without the need for a dramatic cutscene.

I'm doing better in my game..dunno what I did differently..but goddamn Blackwall...and well..mostly everyone is kicking ass . Some places where I was using lot of potions..I'm going trough them barely touching any....

 

 I'm still in Hinterland though hahaha that kill my awesomness right ?

Get him a bow and set Stealth to preferred and then watch him steal all your kills.

I really like what they did with character interaction this time around. Lots of comments on the surroundings, playing off each other a lot (ok that's not new), but them reacting to codex stuff? Very nice. I'm picturing whoever picks up the text reads it out loud and the others react. Cassandra is always good for horrified reactions. For all she wants to combat corruption, she really has no idea how far it can go.

 

There's a banter between her and Cole that implies Cole was sexually abused and she is utterly horrified. 'If you complain I'll say you used blood magic'. *shudder*

Silverite! Put him in heavy armor and find something that gives guard! (fade touched obsidian for 3 or FT silverite for 5. Takes lots of trips in and out of Emprise du Lion, but so worth it! Alphonse's passage has lots of silverite deposites.)

 

Yes, I'm hooked on silverite! It's so shiny! And what's not to love about Cole in Edward Scissorhands getup? (I'm drunk again. Don't mind me)
