Sera seems more like an Artemis to me. Mostly because of the bow, her feisty character and the big "no men allowed" sign xD
Hah... HAH... HAHAH. Excuse me, I will be over here.

Really like the look of this actress Antje Traue (played in the last Superman movie). Probably would've been a great model for Femshep too. Also Lucy Lawless is hot.
Her character and Henry Cavil's chest hair were the best parts of that entire movie, lol

The bow's a bit literal, but fair enough. I just mean Artemis is the stoic defender/protector archetype for women. Not the fertility or love goddess.

She is more of a protector for all I think, more Athena than Artemis maybe?

Well, Athena is a protector of CIVILIZATION. . . Artemis is more suited for the defense of elves and women, I would imagine, however female empowerment is a Juno/Hera purview.

Wait.... elves? This is new to me. ![]()

The best part of that movie with bearded Superman was imagining him with a blood smear and seeing Garrett Hawke saving the world.

The whole wild/forest association, I imagine.

Forest creatures. In particular, forest creatures whose culture is largely hunter/ gatherer, and are downtrodden and generally portrayed as defenders of nature.

Oh my God, cannot unsee, lol
...Sera is suddenly way more attractive by comparison.
Not sure if it's the lighting or just the... uh, person she's paired with, but I really do like Sera's look there. If that's going to be Sera's final facial look, I can definitely dig it.
That... is Angelina Jolie in the movie Hackers.

Yeah, so if I romance Sera, I'm going to need to commission a fanartist to draw her in a sexy cyberpunk getup now.
Dalish cyberpunk can be a thing, right?

If you've seen the DA characters drawn in the style of Mass Effect, then elven cyberpunk is a thing. ![]()

Artemis was a fertility goddess.
Did you have to got that far?
Artemis was a fertility goddess.
True, however much of Greece and Rome (after absorbing Artemis from other religions) focused on her a a virginal hunter as much as youthful fertility.
I think the notion that Artemis is anti-men stems from the myth of Actaeon, though that could just as easily be interpreted as a hatred of peeping toms in general or a simple case of disproportionate retribution (which classical gods are renown for).

In the classical period of Greek mythology, Artemis (Ancient Greek: Ἄρτεμις) was often described as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and protector of young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women; she often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows. The deer and the cypress were sacred to her. In later Hellenistic times, she even assumed the ancient role of Eileithyia in aiding childbirth.

Artemis was a fertility goddess.
I thought she was the Huntress.
She didn't even have a relationship, except with mortal Orion. Which ended tragically, I think. But I'm not too sure about that now...

Sera doesn't remind me in any way of any Greek gods or goddesses.

As far as archetypes go, hardly any rogues do to me. Except Nordic Loki and Native American Coyote. The tricksters. Or the Puck from Shakespeare.

I've never been too keen on Hellenic culture and all their crazy gods and goddesses, or any other ancient culture's deities, really.

Like many gods and goddesses of old, she had about half a dozen part time jobs. I blame poor editorial oversight in ancient mythology.
