I can't stand it. I'm sure it was good back in it's day but like anything that goes on for more than a decade, it has ran it's course a long time ago.

More than a decade? More than my lifetime... And the genius of the show is precisely that the lead and supporting actors are always changing. It hasn't "run its course" and it won't any time soon.

How does it compare to Far Cry 3 gameplay wise? I really enjoyed the crafting, outpost and comm tower bits.

Then I am being very naive. Why would they establish that, and then not keep to it? The show has to end sometime. They might as well do it the way fans of the show have expected it to go out for years. Sure, it might seem the easy way out, but better that than push the show past the point where people start losing interest. End it on a high note, like they did with Breaking Bad.
