Were those considered "bad" movies?

 

Well they're my most hated films. A lot of people liked Skyfall, but they're wrong.

Have you seen Skyfall? Its the only bond movie that put me to sleep. lol

 

I did and admittedly yes, it was rather boring but I wouldn't say it was a bad movie. Just not very interesting.

I haven't actually seen Prometheus but I figure it can't be as bad as Revenge of the Sith, At World's End or Skyfall.

You figure wrong. It's so much worse than any of those movies.

Actually there are many movies that are worse than any of those three. I mean, I'm not a huge fan of the Star Wars prequels and World's End was undoubtedly the weakest Cornetto movie, but they were watchable. As to Skyfall... It was so much better than Quantum of Solace that I can't even see why you mentioned it.

To be fair, the plot of the movie is based off of elements the director wanted to explore from the original movie that he never got a chance to explain in the original alien. There was meant to be a reason for why the xenomorphs were found on an alien ship with a giant somewhat human looking alien pilot.

I explain it as best as I can...

 

I'm a giant fan of the Alien movie . Not the kind of fan who collect everything.....but I love them enough that I have all 4 movies on my computer and know them by heart . And been watching them...since I was 10 . 

 

I remember once..I went to the Wiki and read about the alien movies and everything . And I also recall that in some part of it...there was a design picture that showed 'the Alien Homeworld' . 

 

I remember that giving me the Hint that the Alien came from somewhere...and that big giant Alien in the ship...maybe either found their homeworld...and was collecting them for science purpose when the accident happen . (Notice that in the 1st alien , the ship we find was  a CARGO ship . When one of Ripley friend ask where are everyone else , there was no everyone else . I understood back then , that the giant alien know about the risk hence why it was travelling alone for less risk of contamination in case anything happen . Also why it sent an SOS...just before it died....instead of just dying) . 

 

Now ya compare THIS....to what they gave us....crap.....

 

So yeah I'm mad . This whole nonsense..tied to the humans..seriously..self centered much . Cant we have just one movie that doesnt stick us with either 'Alien are evil and wanna kill us all'..or 'Human corrupt alien...and alien kill everyone to save themself'...or what they gave us ' Alien came from nowhere with no explanation..yada yada..everything goes to ****...yadaya..human try to understand..yada yada...end up badly..yada yada..lone survivor go look for more trouble.....but god is on our side yada yada..' .

Actually there are many movies that are worse than any of those three. I didn't hate it, but it was pretty run-of -the-mill boring Bond, especially after Casino Royale really reinvigorated the series.

Now I found Casino Royale kind of boring. Nowhere near as boring as Skyfall but still a bit boring.

 

I like the cheesy old bond films like goldfinger. Classics and I miss them.

Where guns pop out from every panel of the car and he's got gadgets that just wouldn't work in the real world... those are the best.

Well it's a joke of sorts. A truly bad film isn't worth remembering so the list is films which I found particularly insulting, they're actually not that bad in an objective sense. Prometheus probably would go there if I'd seen it expecting great things. At World's End could probably be switched out for any big soulless mess like The Avengers or whatever it is this month.

Quantum of Solace is a good sequel to Casino Royale, but it's exposition is way too fast. It could have made a really great trilogy, but Skyfall happened.

I love old Bond films, but they exist and they are of their time. I'm happy to see a grittier direction for Bond. Nothing boring about those movies for me.

(I love the avengers and all the marvel movies recently but I love cheesy superhero movies though I also love gritty dark serious ones like the Dark Knight trilogy. Ah, who am I kinds. I'm just a comic book nerd. lol)
