He didn't betray anyone one.

He was betrayed.

As for innocents...how innocent were the civilians who died in Amegakure when it was sacked by Konohagakure?

He merely responded in kind.

I've learned why Bows lag behind in the early game compared to DW rogues. Its the lack of crit change. Once you get over 25% crit chance with a bow, full draw starts to one shot enemies. Before then, I'm actually thinking that Full Draw is not worth its stamina costs. Better off racing to shadow blade to give you a short range burst damage skill. Then pick up mercy kill and use those bees for panic. Once you get the assassin respec, that 100% crit chance just for stealth will allow Full Draw to one shot or nearly one shot a lot of enemies. Hidden Blades will replace shadow blade for your short range spike damage skill.

Because it makes her feel powerful, because she almost died but instead she conquered the beast...she's afraid of magic, sure, but don't forget she's a bit of a thrill seeker, why else would she have so much fun tearing down the nobles and pulling pranks and such?

It could also be used as an argument to support the 'Sera is the Elven goddess of the hunt' theory. The ultimate prey...

Full Draw really isn't worth the stamina cost, despite it's damage.
On an Assassin and with the right passives it is though, Looked Like It Hurt being the big one and Dance of Death from the dagger tree if you can spare points.

In truth though, and this is purely my opinion, if you're willing to invest in crit chance and specific passives then the best rogue spec is Artificer.

Extremely underrated specialization IMO.

I know, once your whole party has decent crit chance then an Artficer practically has no cooldowns.

Even at about 50℅ crit chance, spamming mines and Leaping Shot it results in almost nonexistent cooldowns.

Makes quick work of mobs too.

As a DW rogue, how do you deal with Melee AoE such as Bears stomp attack or from Bruisers? Just leap out of the way? I'm thinking of doing a DW tempest run. Ice and lighting flask seem more useful for a DW rogue considering how often they need to dodge.

Pretty much, yeah.
Pick your shots and make them count. Winter's Grasp + Twin Fangs was my go to before Skyhold.

Tempest is Serza's thing though, so you're better off asking him but Flask of Frost would certainly benefit a melee rogue more. I prefer Assassin.

*high five* Assasins are awesome.

I think I like archer since I don't have to bother to flank enemies, or move much most of the time. lol.

*returns high five* I like Assassin archers too, especially since it's about the only way to make Cloak of Shadows even remotely useful. It still sucks ass though.

I've just always preferred melee because I like the high risk/high reward style of the dagger rogue.

I am fond of the Artificer Archer though.

Who needs cloak of assassin, you have mark of the rift.

One key benefit of being an archer myself is that I can easily fit anyone else into my party. Cass never leaves my party so as an archer I can take Iron Bull + mage + another archer + mage or 2 mages. I can even trust the AI with my archer and control Cole myself.

Speaking of Iron Bull, as long as you keep him stacked with regen potions hes amazing DPS. (Just disable any taunt you give him) Cass warcrys to pull enemies in and Iron Bull whirlwinds while Static Cage is up. Insane damage and if anyone gets Paralyzed then its also detonated by Whirlwind. It may not seem like much damage but whirlwind attacks much faster than a 2h's basic attacks and in a much wider and longer arc. Group them up on Cass and just take over Iron Bull to make sure he spams those whirlwinds.

On this, I wholeheartedly agree.

I always prefer having two rogues and for me, Varric has proven far more versatile for me and Sera has helped make short work of bosses.

To each their own. :D

Do dragons have a connection to the fade? They're obviously magical to a degree...

Dragons are supposed to be animals, and I don't think animals have fade connections. But their blood has all kinds of supernatural going on.

It's not really time-travel. Abstergo are searching for you within their server and when they find you, you have to run through portals created by the person helping you which take you into different timezones in order to escape. It's a brief, short little linear thing but they are quite cool. WW2 Eiffel Tower was fun because you get to use a gun and shoot down planes.

If I wanted to use a gun to shoot down planes I'd go and play Crimson Skies. ...Okay I do want to use a gun to shoot down planes, but not in revolutionary France.

Black Flag is okay but a pirate game without an economy is missing the point.

Landed a 10000-point hit for the first time with my archer assassin. :o Take that, Sera!

Assassin + Sera >>> assassin alone. 60000 points  on the Emerald Graves dragon with Mark of Death -> Thousand Cuts. Damn thing kept flying away or I'd have taken her down in half a minute!

Jiraya saved them but his country obliterated their home, killed their people and then he abandoned them to return to his war.

When they met twenty plus years later...it was as enemies.

Also that system the people of today endorsed led to the war, they were the power source of the military industrial complex.

That's what he sought to correct, to obliterate the nature of conflict.

Yeah... I think it's been mentioned that only humanoid non-dwarfs go to the fade, but as I understand it in the real world animals do dream, so maybe the more intelligent in Thedas might have some form of rudimentary connection... Or maybe there are different aspects of the fade for each species that humans can't see and hence could never know... Solas might have the answer...
