Yeah... I think it's been mentioned that only humanoid non-dwarfs go to the fade, but as I understand it in the real world animals do dream, so maybe the more intelligent in Thedas might have some form of rudimentary connection... Or maybe there are different aspects of the fade for each species that humans can't see and hence could never know... Solas might have the answer...

Hmm, now that you mention it I'm not sure how you'd prove that animals don't fade dream.
Dwarves don't dream and they can't cast spells, animals don't cast spells either. Dragons don't cast spells as such but their breath attacks appear to be magical as there is all manner of elemental things they do now, not just fire. Also there's the Queen of the Blackmarsh, whatever she was.

I'm rather annoyed all the cool dragon taming concept art never became a thing in the game.

Exactly my thoughts. Dragons seem to be somehow tied to elemental magic. Maybe they don't even know that they're tapping into the fade. It could just be an evolved ability that's instinctive.Hmm, now that you mention it I'm not sure how you'd prove that animals don't fade dream.

As a DW rogue, how do you deal with Melee AoE such as Bears stomp attack or from Bruisers? Just leap out of the way? I'm thinking of doing a DW tempest run. Ice and lighting flask seem more useful for a DW rogue considering how often they need to dodge.
I played a DW Tempest on Normal.
That's an easy thing.
My latest experience involves tearing down multiple foes within seconds at a 12 level advantage - before that, I have three weeks of a memory "window" wide opened.
I feel like I'm more of an authority on Rift Mage, doing that on Nightmare and all.
I rarely switch over to Sera, plus she's using a bow, in that playthrough.
You could say she's the combat life saver of the group...

Officially started my second playthrough on Nightmare to get the last achievement. So far so good.
Made a Dalish archer and named her Xylia which is a feminine name of Greek origin meaning 'from the woods' or 'born in the woods'. Here she is:

Getting things going with Sera is going to be interesting this time 'round...

This is awesome! It's another way in which Dragon Age is faithful to the real world.* Every other game treats them as super-intelligent demigods which AFAIK is a modern invention.
* Real-world folklore and tradition; or more specifically, western European folklore and tradition. Asian dragons are something else entirely. I see what I did there.

Talking about dragons: is this, like, the only fantasy RPG around that treats dragons as just a big dangerous critter?
This is awesome! It's another way in which Dragon Age is faithful to the real world.*
It also opens the door for taming dragons and then riding them in dragon air battles, which surely is the logical evolution for any dragon based setting.

No harm done..but I recommand asking before jumping to conclusion...guessing is never good when a person is involved without any proof to back it up .
You're right. I apologize.

Don't mind them Serza, our love is much stronger than their unhealthy hatred of Sera. We win.

Not to sound mean, but so what? At least they make a thread to throw their venom rather than come here and spoil our fun. Credit them for being considerate if nothing else.

It's from the Imperium. They worship the Emperor so it is kind off religious.

I vaguely recall. More acquainted with Warhammer fantasy.
I actually owned Dawn of War, but never really got into RTS's.

Warhammer 40,000 draws a lot of influence from Medieval Christianity. Not to mention Gieger, the Battle of Stalingrad, Anime, and elves because why not?

Yeah, I remember. Isn't the Imperium basically the (Germanic) holy roman empire?

The Skaven are my favourite. Let the plague swarm across the land and all that mumbo-jumbo. Totally awesome!

Let what slip? This is a forum for people to discuss the game and its characters. There is no 'fight' and there is no 'winning' or 'losing'. Not everyone is going to like a given character and that's fine. Whether they want to dig into the character and pseudo-psycho-analyse them or not is their business. Don't let it get you down and enjoy the characters you love.
If they start to badmouth you or imply that people who like the character they dislike have a problem, then hit that report button with all your might because that's a forum nono.

I love that universe... unfortunately, it's never really been done justice in games.
I dare say it'd be better than Dragon Age, in the right hands (and yes, I tried that MMO awhile back. MMOs suck).
