Let what slip? This is a forum for people to discuss the game and its characters. There is no 'fight' and there is no 'winning' or 'losing'. Not everyone is going to like a given character and that's fine. Whether they want to dig into the character and pseudo-psycho-analyse them or not is their business. Don't let it get you down and enjoy the characters you love.

 

If they start to badmouth you or imply that people who like the character they dislike have a problem, then hit that report button with all your might because that's a forum nono.

Still...

I love that universe... unfortunately, it's never really been done justice in games. 

 

I dare say it'd be better than Dragon Age, in the right hands (and yes, I tried that MMO awhile back. MMOs suck).

 

It would be really cool. They already have all of those codex books for each army which are deep in lore. All that's needed is a decent game developer to make an expansive RPG out of it.

Yeah, I remember. Isn't the Imperium basically the (Germanic) holy roman empire?

 

Yes, mixed with a kind of crazy exaggeration of Second World War industrialised warfare.

 

It's also an interesting take on Dune's Imperium.

 

 

All that's needed is a decent game developer to make an expansive RPG out of it.

I can understand not liking a character or being annoyed by them, but hating one implies a special devotion I don't see the point in. I mean, can't you find something better to do?

 

 

Unless you very nearly like or love the character, then it's different. I don't see that as the case most times here.

I sympathize.. Sera does seem to get a lot of hate. It's more annoying when the characters are romanceable.. then you might feel a different kind of protectiveness for them. 

 

I like Vivienne as well, but the amount of hate she gets is ridiculous.

 

Vivi is an ice queen, but a well-written, well-performed ice queen.

 

At the end of the day, she is still awesome, despite how much I hate the way she acts sometimes.

 

A powerful ally, and a person to ask for advice, perhaps a good colleague - but never a true friend to me.

Seriously though I've seen her try to argue that Anders was right and that slavery in Tevinter isn't as bad as Fenris says because Dorian says otherwise.

The way I see it, is if characters from a video game can cause such strong emotional responses, then Bioware is doing a pretty damn good job whether it's positive or negative.

 

I'm pretty sure they're well aware that not everybody is going to be pleased with the characters' personalities; it's a good thing they've created so many different ones so there is bound to be at least one that appeals to you.

 

I've noticed that many people who hate Sera absolutely love Solas... with me, it's the other way around. I hate Solas, but then again, I don't really feel the need to create a thread and have a ****** session about how much I hate him, though I have mentioned it a couple of times...

Its mostly..how they pick on the Ladies....ya name one topic where same hate is thrown on a dude charachter....just one .
