In other words, TES lore is dense and complex but the actual games and their narrative and storytelling fail to reflect that, whereas DA's lore is more limited in scope but lends so much of itself to the games.

 

That would be my take on both from what I've played/seen.

Yes on the second point, but I would flip which game has a phd and which has a high-school diploma. Lets face it, Dragon Age is batting in the little league compared to the sheer scale and complexity of the lore of TES.

But it's not just based on lore. Character development is far superior in DA than TES and to be fair, I prefer it over any amount of lore. If I can't fall in love with the characters, I won't feel invested.
