How viable is Tempest with an archer? Should I go with it for Nightmare?
It's probably your better option. Assassin - pointless for an archer and the other one... unless you want the lantern which is pretty good for nightmare, it probably isn't the best choice. Tempest, you get all those potions which can become handy in any situation, and require very little thinking in there use.

I've heard pretty good things about Assassin Archer, actually. Can't personally vouch for it, although I keep meaning to respec my Assassin DW as an archer just to play around with it.
I did Artificer Archer and didn't care for it as much. It's possible I just wasn't using it to its full potential, though. Tempest Archer is awesome on NM though. I often play as Sera on my NM run, because fun! And also archers are easiest for me to play well, so I sometimes let the AI handle my mage because I always forget to barrier.

I figure Assassin is far superior at a closer range. You could use it for range but the abilities suit a melee rogue a lot more.

I would think that Stealth + Mark of Death + Hidden Blades + Leaping Shot + Activate MoD would be a pretty good combo if timed right.

I'm not sure how much use a soldier's self analysis compressed into a single quote is but The Chargers still aren't commandos. Their crowning moment is not being able to hold the line against a scattered force of Tevinters washing up on a beach.
Zaeed has a pretty long history of being the only survivour of his squad.
Spoilsport.
I have no idea what you are on about. Night before Denerim, Preperation in Redcliffe... Say what?
Do u even Origins, bruh?

It's so viable that some people built Sera as a "Dragon's gone in fifteen seconds" kinda Tempest.

Very. How viable is Tempest for an archer? Should I go with it for Nightmare?
Assassin works well too but it might pay to drop a couple points in the dagger tree for Dance of Death since Full Draw from Stealth is almost guaranteed to kill.
Artificer is extremely underrated IMO.
With decent crit chance and the right passives (Opportunity Knocks and Looked Like It Hurt being the big ones, maybe Cheap Shot too) you can have limitless stamina and insanely short cooldown times.
It also has the second most OP focus ability.
Just my two cents.

I somehow managed to only unlock Mark of Death with my end of game level up.

Haha. MoD is awesome/so useful but honestly there's a point with a DW rogue where it doesn't matter what you're doing, you're always dealing insane damage and it's happening so fast and dreamy sigh

But... But... How do you issue orders to your party?I don't think I even use it anymore. It's a nice design but to me, it's just not worth the effort.

I don't. It's in Gods hands now.

That guy over there, the one my rogue is kicking in the face, they're supposed to attack him. If they can make it in time.

I don't use tac cam either. I switch between party members with F1-F4 while paused. Sometimes on harder boss battles I'll use it, but since I'm not used to it at that point, it's often just easier for me to use regular view.
Pity, because I love the idea of taccam, but it's just awkward to use. We just got a TV, so I may try it out on console and see how I like with the controller.

I don't use taccam either. When I actually need, I pause and do it from the action cam.
It's the years of ArmA doing that, I learned to command from the front. For better or worse...
(There might be a reason nobody allows me leadership roles lately.)
Other than that, AIs mostly clever enough to taunt whoever's out there, and as a Mage, I just need to keep throwing barriers and damage.

You crazy. Assassin is the best spec for an Archer. You are often NOT at optimal range for long shot. Having something to use when your too close is very important. Not to mention that archers lack the high crit chance that DW rogues have because they lack the sneak attack passive. Being able to get 100% crit chance whenever you stealth is a huge boon for Archers. Its often enough to allow Full Draw to one shot enemies if you stack crit damage.
You should always respec Sera to DW rogue. Tempest complements DW rogues perfectly. You got ice flask to protect you from the melee AoE enemies, Lighting to help you quickly reposition in between attacks and fire flask works even better with the more damaging DW attacks. Not to mention a thousand cuts is a melee attack so it just fits with DW rogue.
I only use Tac cam to order my ranged characters to hold position at key points (like high ground) in tough fights.
Though, I will say that a Qunari 2h warrior can be a lot of run.

Bah, warriors and mages lack DPS. Its not like in origins where DW warrior was better and easier to use than a rogue or DA 2 where a berserker warrior could kill just as fast as a rogue while being much tankier. If you want to dish out the damage then be a rogue.
