Actually, the French accents in "the Holy Grail" are pretty good. One thing I don't understand is why they still ask Kath Soucie (Marjolaine in DAO) to do French accents. I don't know what the heck it sounds like, but it doesn't sound French. It sounds weird.

 

For those who played Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, you can hear some Canadian French accents (Quebec) in both English and French in the Abstergo sections (no spoilers, it's the start of the game). 100% genuine. It's very different from the European French.

This was my first post here. Establishing character moment for me, I think.

Actually, these aren't too bad. It sounds like someone purposefully using a crappy accent for comedy purposes. I think England's proximity to France helps them be exposed to the real deal on a regular basis.

 

Speaking of French accents: for those who finished the winter palace, here is a possible outcome of the resulting war table mission. Note the Inquisitor's name is Summer and Leliana is awesome.

My French accent is actually good (better than the vast majority of English people despite our proximity to France) but if I do a full-on French accent in English, it sounds like I'm taking the p*ss. This is because most French people aren't actually that bad at pronouncing English...

I can do the same in reverse. It's my job to teach French to English-speakers, so I know what the accent sounds like. I can do the over the top one as well, but nobody calls me on it because the Prime minister talks like that. He gets no end of ridicule for it too.
