Well you are going to marry her, so sex is implied at some point, but they never provide anything definitive that it happens...at least not that I had in my romance with her

I know that. Sera gets sex, which is intimate and meaningful. Josie doesn't get sex, but is still intimate and meaningful. So sex doesn't have to come into it. Both romances are equally satisfying.

The issue I have with that is of course connected to my lesbian experiences with pop-culture. It's a norm that lesbian sex scenes are censored compared with straight counterparts. Which I don't think was the reason why Josie has no sex scene, but if some lesbian player chose to romance that character instead of Sera, she would have every right to be disappointed over that considering that this is the kind of treatment very often we get from TV.

Tbh i generally have no problem if a romance doesn't have sex (or has), what matters is the romance content. Josie is too "cute-y" of a romance for me, i'm more on the raunchy side of romance (though Sera does have her sweet moments that give me a bit of diabetes)

Josie's not explicitly ace, is she? It's just easy to read that, or otherwise, into if you want? Haven't done her romance yet, but I thought it was left ambiguous if they had a sexual relationship or not, like with Solas.

Josie's asexual. She's not, I'm just saying. She doesn't want sex. She wants companionship.

 

Well it bothered some that she didn't have a love scene, can't say I'm one of em, her's was more romantic, had it's own intimacy and it is sweet. Although we don't see a love scene you can imagine they were intimate after the duel scene or not up to the player. I still prefer the Sera romance myself though, I miss the companion banter and her remarks to you when you're on the road, also seeing another side of her once romanced is worth it.

It's quite ambiguous, yes. It's also very seamless throughout. You could insert a 'sex scene' at different points and it would fit just fine.

I know that. I was pointing out that the content evens out: Sera gets a sex scene and Josie gets a hug. It evens out.

 

Besides, it makes sense for Sera to show off her butt. 

 

Evens out with what? It's 1 hug and 1 sex scene. If I understand this correctly, other demographics get 2 hugs and 1 sex scene (straight men), 2 hugs and 2 sex scenes (gay men) and 4 hugs and 4 sex scenes (straight women).
