You are blessed. Odin the Allfather has blessed you.

OR...

It was a demon.

And the Maker does not exist.

Who knows?

Based on that, saying you don't believe in the chant of light means that you are wrong in her eyes. It does not mean that you are trying to force her to change her own mind.

Your first statement is totally correct, but not your second. We're not talking about a scene where the Inquisitor is merely saying she doesn't believe the Chant; we're discussing one where the Inquisitor can argue that the Dalish religion is true after her lover has told her that they can't both be true, so choosing that stance is trying to foce her to change her mind.

Yes, that is. But the next step of taking that to mean that belief in one implies that you're trying to force her to change her mind is where the logic fails.

Not in the slightest. Arguing that the Dalish religion is true means that you are arguing that the Andrastian belief that there is only one god is false.

So to change the subject for a minute. I expected the human noble play through to have issues, with Sera disliking nobles so much but really it was kind of plain. I was looking forward to having to prove to Sera that nobles could be good but it really didn't feel like I had too. My noble became a reaver but it didn't matter but my elf mage gets a comment for becoming a rift mage.

My qunari reaver only got a comment from Iron Bull and Cassandra, I was kinda disappointed considering how big of a deal they made about the fact that "picking a specialization matters because everyone will recognize it!!!111one!1!!". Yeah, "everyone" my butt.

I got very little reaction to becoming an assassin. Lel and Dor said something I think.

I try not get too cut up over pre-release promises that went awry, but the whole implementation of specialisations is pretty disappointing.

We're clearly not going to agree here ever. I have had many conversations with religious people explaining why I'm an atheist, and never once was I attempting to convert them. What you're saying just does not follow in my mind.

Mages seem to get the most specialization reactivity (I think Necro especially).  Sera reacts to all mage specs plus the Champion Warrior spec AFAIK.

Not in the slightest. Arguing that the Dalish religion is true means that you are arguing that the Andrastian belief that there is only one god is false.

But telling her you think she's wrong isn't the same as trying to change her mind.

I guess I'll agree.

Although the game feels great as a mage in general.. they did a better job at class differentiation compared to DA2 (or DAO, for that matter). Specs, not much.. but I wasn't expecting it too much. I only wish Cass looked down on Reavers a bit more.. since it's still a form of blood magic (she has anecdotes about her family being screwed up from it. And she compares a necro to her creepy uncle. lol.. but I feel like there should be more than this,. It's just superficial disapproval).

I just expected more than two companions/npcs making a comment on the spec the Inquisitor chooses, and  maybe a little sidequest that differs depending on it.

Instead, I got two lines of dialogue and a lousy war table mission. It didn't make me feel like the spec was any more important from a story point of view than in the previous games and it actually made me miss the fact that you can only have one specialization and cannot ever respec out of it once it's chosen.

Give me back my Berserker/Reaver, dammit!

My human noble became a Champion and he had to convince Sera that he wasn't suddenly going to turn into a dickwad like the rest of the chevaliers.

As have I. It's just a discussion of beliefs, trading anecdotes back and forth. Neither of us suddenly burst into flames. :3

Just saw an advert for a DNA kit that tells you 100 different things about you based on your DNA alone. Sounds cool. £125... I kind off want to know now though.

Which one? and what method is it using?

I've read and researched on this, and in general it seems like the experts say its useful and accurate within limitations.  Basically use it in conjunction with family history records, don't consider it a definitive stand alone answer that tells you everything.

I haven't played a Trev for more than a few minutes but it seems to me Sera basically judges people on how they behave not how they're born.

Unless they are an elf then you basically start with two strikes against you which is fine but a noble starts with a clean slate, at least that's how it feels to me. I was hoping that there would be issues originally with the noble, it just seems like it would have been more interesting.

Can't say I'd ever do it. It's quite costly for something that just tells me if baldness runs in the family - amongst 99 other things.

I still want to know about my history, I'm curious.  But I would never let it define me or my choices now. I totally agree with your sentiment.

Ah, more of a trait kind of study then?  I've looked into background studies, like where your paternal and maternal lines descend back to, or where the majority of your DNA comes from.  Like what ancient groups do I most descend from kind of thing.

From the one on the advert.

https://www.23andme.com/en-gb/

It seems to just tell you about whether you are more susceptible to certain medication, whether anything is genetic etcetera. I thought it would tell me whether I have tendencies of mad rage or something. Shame.

And it shows family history or something.

https://www.23andme....en-gb/ancestry/

That, interests me greatly. My father is from Saint Helena, which has been occupied by various different groups. At the moment it is British (and will likely stay that way for a while) but it has been occupied by the Chinese, the Spanish amongst many others. My original last name was "Yon" which sounds Chinese and that's always interested me to see if I have any Chinese coursing through my blood.

And not just common blood, dragon blood. Dragon. Blood. Sera likes dragons, she should say something on that, lol.
