If she is from Kirkwall, maybe her and Varric know each other.. considering the connections

Merrill's house alone took up 10% of the living space there...and she was the only elf living in it.

It's possible...I'm curious who else she might know given the connections.  Leliana?  Leliana seems to know everyone (Tallis :P)

I don't think Leliana and Sera would get along for some reason

I'm actually more worried about Sera and Vivienne. Although we don't know a whole lot about either, what little we do know of their personalities tells me they won't see eye to eye on a lot of things.

I always assumed they would.

Leliana seems to have changed a lot in DA:I so it's hard to say.

Sera/Morrigan interaction would be interesting...

If she's from Denerim, I hope there's some mention of the City Elf Warden.

Mainly b/c it's my fave Origin and I'm selfish and want to hear more about it.

I think it will start badly and maybe get better.

Afterall Vivienne probably had to go through a lot of grief to get in power ...and I guess Sera became a thief to have a better life, too.

I doubt they are going to end up BFF ,but maybe a bit of respect going on.

I can imagine Sera being way more annoyed at Cassandra who was born noble , and could do whatever she wanted with her life.

I have a feeling they might be at each other's throats, sort of like Leliana and Morrigan in Origins. I don't see those two getting along at all.

She will probably still be fine with Cassandra. I think Vivienne is one of the few companions with whom Sera might not get along too well.

The Morrigan/Leliana analogy HFS brought up is close to how I'd imagine it.

Leliana and Morrigan were not at each other's throats.  You must be thinking about Wynne and Morrigan.

Leliana was quite catty and didn't like Morrigan however, and Morrigan had little respect for a willing follower of the Chant of Light.

My point still stands, there were companions that Morrigan had a greater distaste for than Leliana.  Namely Wynne, Zevran, Alistair, and Oghren.  The only companions she truly got along with were Sten and to a lesser extent Dog.

Edit * since I never really romanced Morrigan and Leliana at the same time, this game state would lead to Morrigan and Leliana being at each other's throats I suppose.

I definitely do not see them being friendly, at least not on Vivienne's side.

Well, considering Leliana didn't like Tallis for whatever reason, that's just what I was going off of.

I think Solas and Sera will have a brother/sister relationship - namely Sera picking on Solas trying to get a rise out of him.

Leliana and Morrigan were not at each other's throats.

They were in some of the banter. One of my faves:

Morrigan: The way you look at him so intently, so hungrily... one would think you have never seen a man before.

Leliana: Where I look is not your concern.

Morrigan: True enough. There is no way I can deny you this... but why would he choose you, when he could have me?

Leliana: You're confident for a woman raised in a swamp, far from anything remotely resembling civilization.

Morrigan: And maybe that is my appeal? A woman like you, why, he could find in any city in Thedas. You think you are cultured? Worldly?

Morrigan: Powdered, perfumed, you ooze elegance, but what man wants a woman who lies limp beneath him, frozen in place by the thought that she might ruin her hair?

Leliana: So you're saying you're wild and uninhibited? I suppose he must like your shrieking, you sound like a genlock being murdered—a sweet, sweet sound to a Grey Warden.

Leliana: You should try a little harder next time he takes you. I don't think they heard you in the Anderfels.

Morrigan: Tsk, tsk, Leliana. Watch your jealousy, or you'll give yourself wrinkles.

Leliana: Get away from me, or I shall have to take drastic measures.

Morrigan: Resorting to violence. And here I thought you were civilized.

Though to be fair, they are much more hostile towards each other when involved in a love triangle with the Warden. But even when they aren't squabbling over the Warden's affections (or lack threreof), it's clear that they don't particularly like one another. Morrigan is snarky with Leliana from the start, and while Leliana starts off nice enough (even flirtatious in one convo), she soon starts responding in kind.

I remember that! Yeah, they seemed to have had a love/hate relationship.. mostly a "love to hate" from Morrigan, though.

Leliana and Morrigan get on OK when the Warden isn't being a two-timing jerk.

The hostility certainly amps up a few notches if the Warden is involved with both of them, but even without the romance angle they don't exactly get along. For example:

Morrigan: So I see you are quite the little deceiver, after all.

Leliana: Finally decided to gloat, have you?

Morrigan: It simply suits my view of the Chantry that one of their devoted sisters should turn out to be so full of hypocrisy.

Leliana: There are good people in the Chantry. Many good people who are just there to help others.

Morrigan: And apparently at least a few who are simply pretending to be good.

Leliana: At least I was trying to be better than I was. At least I regretted the evil I'd done. Better that than be someone who's never loved anyone or anything, least of all herself. Anything but that.

Morrigan: It seem that at least you got the self-righteousness down pat. Well done.

If i remember right most of it is just Morrigan being Morrigan, the way she is towards anyone she presumes dumber than herself, which makes for ~95% of the population. It's not so much these two not getting along specifically, but more of Morrigan rarely warming up to anyone, especially from the get-go.

Morrigan doesn't really like anyone most of the time.

Though she seems to dislike Leliana a little less than the others. Yeah, they're both catty smartasses to each other, but Morrigan seems to take amusement in mocking Leliana's beliefs and attitude, rather than the frustration or irritation she gets with many of the other companions.

So, if DAI has dates like ME3, what kind of date do you guys think Sera will have? I think she's likely to have a fun/unconventional or intensely romantic date, but I can't decide which.
