Especially the masterpiece that is The Empire Strikes Back, which was hilariously featured in Russia's first post-Soviet Film Festival after the ban on Western movies was lifted. So I did the temple of Mythal on my current playthrough and proceeded to talk to Sera afterwards. This time my elfy-elf is romancing the sweet-as-pie Josie
and being more of a surrogate parent for Sera. And the result? Sera was actually almost reasonable during the conversation. I mean I sat the girl down and (gently) drove home the point that people can have different beliefs and she DIDN'T throw a tantrum. I got a slight and normal disapproval but that was it. No raised voices or anything. I diplomatically shot down her arguments on why I should believe differently than I did and all she did was get pouty. Friendly rooftop time survived. At the end she just sounded like a teenager who got educated on the finer points of adulthood and that was how I hoped the scene would play out.
Why can't she be this reasonable in a romance?
It's hard to say. Maybe she feels more vulnerable with her love interest than with her friend or associate? In friendship, Sera can come a long way with Lavellan - even when the two disagree, from being someone who is willing to leave because she strongly opposes the Inquisitor's actions to someone who is happy when she's told that she's basically family to the Inquisitor.
Tbh i dont have enoigh faith in starwars after the massive retcon... if revan isn canon im done XD
