Alright, step by step explanation of the "Jill" joke.

1) Extend your left arm.

2) Point your palm towards your face

3) Keep your palm open

4) Use a bit of imagination

5) Laugh, because Serza just pulled off one of the subtler jokes in the book!

jack and jill went up the hill and had a tea party(so tells my by my aunt)

I think it goes:

Jack and Jill went up the hill

To fetch a pail of water

Jack fell down and broke his crown

And Jill came tumbling after

... Why do I know this stuff?

It's just a nursery rhyme. Those mostly don't have morals, they just rhyme.

Hickory dickory dock

The mouse ran up the clock

The clock struck one

The mouse ran down

Hickory dickory dock.

I dare you to make sense of that one.

You had a much much different childhood than me if that's your version, lol.

Jack and Jill went up the hill

To have a little fun

Jack and Jill forgot the pill

And then they had a son

hickory was a d*ck,
the mouse ran up the clock to get away
When the clock struck 1
The mouse fell down dead
Hickory was still a d*ck

That dragon webbing! :D

I would call those robes 'Keeper of the Keys' for Solas though. Because reasons...

... What color is yours? *runs away*

Purple. The flesh tones freak me out.

I like that this thread has intelligence throughout but doesn't reek of elitism. that'one reason I'm still here.

I respect academic qualifications and the hard work that goes into gaining them, but I learned long ago that they're not the only measure of intelligence...

I think that the only legitimate targets of elitism are the ones who try to act that way but don't know what they're talking about. My job is teaching; if I acted like I was better than my students because I knew more/was better qualified on that particular subject (assuming that I was more knowledgeable/better qualified, which has usually been true but I doubt it'll always be true), then I'd be pretty terrible at it. When I slip into irrelevant facts mode on the internet, it's the same deal. (Please let me know if I fail.)

On the other hand, if somebody does act better than everybody else because they think they know everything and they're wrong...time to unload All The Snark on them.

How else do you think I got mage robes with that armour rating? ;) Why does it have to be orange, though? Because fire is orange?

As I mentioned earlier, once i saw the pun on the masterwork ability, I just had to call them that...

Yeah, dragon material colors are a bit out there. The 'fabric' is orange, the leather is white (is there a single white dragon in this game?) and the bones, which are apparently a metal, are golden. I know it's rule of cool and all, but...

I'm still puzzled by what 'dragon webbing' is exactly. Do they mean the webbing on the wings? Wouldn't that qualify as leather?

Other than the dragon stuff, the 'golden trio' of materials is Dales Loden Wool, Silverite and Snouffleur skin. They all overcome the class restrictions. Everybody in formal attire to kick butt!

Doesn't Formal Attire already lack class restriction as a schematic?

the webbing is probably the stuff between their toes or imo the insides cured and made into what ever it is.. like making spiderwebs into silk

Yes, I think it does. My warrior was wearing a crafted one at some point.

Mmm... Pineapples...

What does that remind me of...

(It's a weapon, widely used during the World War II by the US Forces, and maybe the British.)

Both the American Mark 2 and the British Mills bomb looked like pineapples, yeah. Mills bombs were a Great War design, actually, which is pretty neat.

why pineapples?

Supposedly, fruits change the taste.

Indeed, I mean the US MkII (Mk2 later on) "Pineapple" fragmentation grenade.

I have to admit, I haven't seen a Mills since CoD1.

And yes, it looks similar, but I don't think it got the nickname, like the US MkII

Also, supposedly the MkII is also a 1918 design. Used until the 60s, Wiki says. Not sure if true, don't have any info on hand.

But I assume that's when they were replaced with the M67 Frag.
