It's funny with the Superior prowler mail, the one small bit of fabric that you use makes up all of Sera's dress, and the leather that makes up all the armour rating is just on her legs. That means she's rocking some Dales Loden Wool on her Dragon Scale armour.

 

 

Also her final bow is done. Tomorrow I try to finish the game!

Well all the complaints about elitists were slightly awkward.

 

Solas actually looks pretty dapper in keeper robes, doesn't he?

 

He does, but then he changes out of it as soon as he gets back to Skyhold, probably mumbling about the Inquisitor not being his mum.

 

When The Old Republic came out, both of them ended up being incorporated into the story, largely as a nod to fans. Their use in the story, however, was badly mangled; Revan oscillated between being a messianic figure and a genocidal maniac, while Surik was horribly mischaracterized and seemingly did nothing except act like an idiot and die.

 

The Exile is possibly one of my favourite game protagonists - brokenness of that game aside - so it was just weird and sad seeing them throw away those plot lines.

The Exile is possibly one of my favourite game protagonists - brokenness of that game aside - so it was just weird and sad seeing them throw away those plot lines.

Same. The wound in the Force idea was so cool. It spawned the single funniest/most awesome narrative explanation of gameplay conventions ever, when Vrook Lamar basically accused the Exile of being a Force vampire and used that to account for how she gained powers as she leveled up. And then, y'know, never mentioned or brought up by Karpyshyn.

Mostly memory. Sometimes I double-check with books I have handy, and more rarely the Internet, but I try not to say very much about subjects I don't know very well. (And there are a lot of those.) I also spend a lot of time talking with professors and other graduate students about stuff like this, and you can't really keep stopping a conversation at a bar to check Wikipedia and make sure you got that name right. It's practice and repetition.

Sera would either hate me or ignore me, I'm not sure which.

I think what I liked most the retrospective story being told about your character, but you still having control of your character in the present - at least so far as anyone controls their character in an RPG. Okay that probably terrifies a lot of people, but I thought it was cool.

Since y'all discussed the lack of sword schematics in this game, can I point out that the same goes for unique swords? Everything is low level and getting the only really good one requires a bucketload of luck or knowledge outside of the game. And you get exactly one chance at it per playthrough :

Because BioWare are dastardly devils. They enjoy watching us squirm under the weight of their balls. Their balls of pure awesomeness.

There are two tier 3 unique swords I know of:

- Evanura, in the vid above

- Caliban, which you get from

killing Kaltenzahn, the middle one of the Emprise dragons. This is competitive with the best swords you can craft.
