There are two tier 3 unique swords I know of:

killing Kaltenzahn, the middle one of the Emprise dragons. This is competitive with the best swords you can craft.

Conscripting the mages or Templars instead of allying is another approval booster. Also recruiting the Wardens instead of banishing them. It's easier if you play as a Qunari as you get approval boosts just for being "well fit" in her eyes. It's toughest as an Elf but I still managed pretty easily.

Uncle's right. If you genuinely like her, and share some of her character traits (or your Inky does) it's not an excessive challenge to romance her, even as an Elf. Arianne can atest to that.

And hopefully, Lyna will be able to do the same. As a First, she might have the harder time making it so...

You can get away with some disapprovals, but you should try not to make that happen often. I don't know how you're playing your Inquisitor but if that is a non-issue for you, try to match her views on elven culture/religion and say you don't believe any of it (or at the very least say you aren't sure about it). That will also affect her approval significantly towards the end of the game.

Is there a chart for how much you need though? -1 could dampen you quite a bit.

But I do know that the maximum approval limit is 125. (Dis)Approves gives/loses 5 and greatly (dis)approves gives/loses 20.

Oh cool. I didn't know this. So basically, no, it doesn't really matter that much in the long run so long as you get those (Greatly) Approvals

Any dialogue that breaks the romance will be indicated with a broken heart option. Otherwise it's just a matter of approval, and you can counter her disapproving by doing something she approves of elsewhere.

Nope, don't worry. I did try and pick that line. Wish i could remember if she greatly disapproves or slightly. But there's no break up danger.

 

You just keep talking to her and pick her around on missions to gain more approvals.
