Solas is so freaking easy to punch, lmao. I've gotten it twice. All you have to do is tell him that his fade explorations are dangerous (and they are! so it's not crazy to do so) and then either conscript the mages or ally with the templars. Bonus points if you choose the "for my own power" (EVERYONE HATES YOU IF YOU DOTHIS, omg, that PT I had so many companions hate her...a delightful parade of "Greatly Disapproves" ) or "I'll be a servant of faith" at Skyhold.

I was always on the cusp, and then I'd end up asking him a question and he'd revert back into a happy elf!

 

...I think I just fail at being awful. I always chose the agressive choice and sometimes he'd say the most perfect thing and suddenly people would adore him again! I did conscript the mages, and he was convinced that he was Andraste's chosen!

I don't know about the pretty-boy thing, the Solas thread moves pretty fast(it won't be long until it surpasses this one), and the fan base is very earm...eager. I wouldn't call Solas pretty, but he is smart, and heavily plot relevant.

Oh I am nervous to romance Blackwall.

 

He and I never see eye-to-eye. I'm probably going to have to meta-game his romance. I've lost him 2 of 4 playthroughs to him walking out.

Haha! Well to get along with him best, I would recommend playing a character who is idealistic and also big on forgiveness. Blackwall is actually a pretty chill dude under all that drama, but if you ruffle his feathers or make him feel like you don't believe people can be redeemed, he gets pretty standoffish. He's naive and self righteous but his naïveté comes from this very painful and personal hope that people who mess up can become better and the self righteousness is really just him faking it til he makes it and born of a lot of self loathing, so it's really sympathetic to me and also sometimes hilarious in its transparency. I played his relationship arc about convincing him to get over himself, stop obsessing about being perfect, and just be that cool dude who was buried underneath so that he could be a man who did good things instead of a man obsessed with being "a good man"

Or you could play a character who is just straight up self righteous like him and then dump his ass.

All I really know about Abaeni is that she's going to be in the cute dwarf club with Dagna and Harding. So very bubbly. But I haven't decided if she's going to be bubbly and cruel in a ... Red Queen sort of sense, or bubbly and fix everything sort.
