mostly because of how the system causes "issues" for you if you deviate from the ninja/no-kill style in luie of "probelm solver"
It's my default playstyle, so it won't be a problem! Thanks for the info.

Oh, so it's a stealth game? Ooh... I love me some sneaking...
It's a stealth game, but it doesn't have to be played that way. You can literally run through the levels and slice of peoples heads if that is really what you want. The morality system comes into play here. If you kill people, even bad guys, you get a bad morality which affects the ending. This also affects the world. Each level will change depending on how the previous levels were played out. Kill lots of people, you get lots of rats. Don't kill people, cleaner streets.
I preferred playing it stealthy but sometimes it's just unavoidable with the killing. I got the bad ending which was pretty damn cool.
Good morning lovelies!
Afternoon. *nods head*
Bon apétit! (lunch time soon here...)
There was a game advertised at E3 in 2013 that I have not heard or saw anything else about but looked awesome. "The Order of 1408" or something like that. It looked like it had elements of this steam punk thing you guys keep talking about. Have no idea when it was supposed to be released.
The Order 1886. I just pre-ordered that yesterday. Looks damn good but I worry that it's going to be pretty short. It looks like an interesting take on history, adding the Steampunk feel whilst keeping some notable faces around, such as Nikola Tesla.

At work today, so I can spend the whole day with you! Keep me entertained please, so I don't have to cry that I'm stuck not playing DA:I.

Will he be played by David Bowie again though?
No. Haven't heard much about it. Is it good?
Dishonored was one of my faves of 2013. I am usually very wary of fps type games cause of the "everyone gets to be Rambo" aspect to a lot of them but this one had a pretty cool morality system that encouraged you to avoid combat and rely more on stealth and non-lethal means to get through the game. You could still go in for mayhem but if you did there were repercussions. Plus the expansion to the game was even better than the main game and had a fantastic story of guilt and redemption. The Steam Punk setting was very nice too. Kind of sci-fi I guess but more alternate history or HG Wells meets Orwell than outer-space.

I noticed that gamermd83 has a video about that. *googles*
The Order: 1886. PS4 only, so no use to me, sadly...
2004...The year I entered the armed forces for my national service.
Hooray for cheesy official pr vids
And Cat? One of the best part of Dishonored is the sheer amount of customization you can do in regards to difficulty. Besides the usual difficulty levels, you can turn off individual hud elements. I played it with only crosshairs on, relying on my hearing and the tools given
Neat, but not going to be an option because my sound system sucks and the walls are too thin where I live. My neighbors would complain.
Damnit, I missed the 2000th page and I've been waiting for that.

Oh well, there's always 3000.

After making my special celebratory picture, I was actually a bit scared that I'd miss it this morning while I was asleep...

One of my 2012 faves:

Great story, too.
I kind of thought I’d stay out of posting on the internet ever again, but since nobody I know is really playing the game I’m thinking GAA, okay I could try saying something in here since I’m been reading the thread for a couple of months anyway.
So hi!
I’m playing my fourth character now (second Sera romance) and I’m still finding places and hearing banter that’s new to me…
One of us! One of us! One of us! One of us!

At least she's not a-hole waiting to happen, like me.
It'll still happen. Eventually.
I shouldn't really be here, you know, people.
*shrug*
Yes, yes you should. I can only speak for myself, but I do miss you when you don't post for a while. Make of that what you will.

Wow, I didn't play many games in 2013 2014.
(Apparently I am confused about the current year. This is okay.)
Well I just got sold on Dishonored, so consider me collateral damage of trying to convince Cat.
Stealthy stealthy goodness + subtle exploration of gender themes....
*snip*
One thing that really hooked me about Dishonored is how goodly hard it could be at whatever setting you were playing at. I mean I would sometimes agonize about where to leap to and the math of leaping to that ledge and then on to that building outcropping...could I do it? There's 20 guards below and I don't want them to see me so can I make that jump? And then the agony or delight if you made it. It could be very tricky about the best directions to go in and I liked that. Sometimes the safest routes were maddeningly hard to spot!
I LOVE YOU ALL.
There. I said it.
