Exactly guys. Have you seen what Bull drinks? He'd love this stuff!

I like all of the things allegedly contained within that soup and yet it still looks horrible! :D

Just minus the beer for me, but I have to wonder what kind of cheese that is... it looks dubious...

I had a sudden horrible image of someone (with horns, naturally) pouring beer into a glass, then adding melted cheese and some bacon. I suddenly decided I never want to try this soup.

Perhaps my life is better for it.

Is the cat on your avatar sitting on a laptop screen, Cat?

And talking of avatars, wintery's makes me want to play pranks with Sera again! I need to recruit her quickly on my new PT. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms, but I am congenitally incapable of rushing through Bioware games...

The thing is I can see Sera, a regular at the tavern like Bull, being buzzed enough to accept an offer of a bowl of that soup from Bull. *disgusted noise* Cassandra and an *eye roll* from Dorian. :P

Oh man, what would Cassnra eat?

I'm thinking like a chicken club and lentil soup?

No idea where that cat is, but the look on its face is too perfect.

Oh withdrawal. I'm not there yet. I'm still in the 'hangover' phase of gaming. Played too much, feeling sick of it now. I'll be switching to reading and writing for the now. Perhaps cooking too. I found some wonderful recipes online that I want to try.

Hmm possibly however why do I see a bowl of Cream of Mushroom before her with a slice of brown bread?

I can see Sera liking this kind of soup, it's...home-y, for lack of better terms:

Vivienne I'm sure would have vichyssoise with cucumber tea sandwiches.

Well given the amount of time she spends whacking her sword against stuff on the practice ground, I think something more calorific, or she'd waste away! Not sure what, though...

Oh I thought that you might have cropped it from a larger image...

Well I've only done one playthrough (Which granted took me 260 hours) and I haven't watched all the stuff I missed on YouTube like you, so I'm still thirsty for more!

Does plain bread count as a sandwich? :P

It's some sort of young guy thing. My last department head was a woman and most of the people I work with, and for, are women so coming into a game world where women have positions of power and influence is not a culture-shock for me. The guy who posted that thread is either trolling or so protected and sheltered from the real world that when he hits 18 and goes into the workforce, for reals, it's going to be a very big wake-up call for all of his assumptions. My suspicion is for the trolling motivation as I find it difficult to believe anyone is that sheltered in 2015.

Yup. These kind of folks are the same kind who have rather wild delusions about what melee-range combat is like and think women couldn't possibly succeed against a man in it  Oh dear the things they would learn if they would have to face a woman who is determined to tear their head off. Even sparring against a woman who has her head in the game is scary.

I picked that cause of Cass's story about her year of independent meditation to be a holy Seeker and Cass has that Shao-Lin Monk vibe about her so what would a holy, frugal, warrior-priest eat, I asked myself? Cream of Mushroom and plain brown bread I thought.  ;)

My reading slowed way down when the game came out. I still want to play a lot, but I do want to get back to reading some more too.

The game is very effective at distracting me from stuff going on, which is good, but my to-read list has its own gravitational field. I need stories and lots of them.

That was why I picked the lentil soup. :)

I am 6ft3 and built like a silverback gorilla and yet I know this. I can recall being 25 and having a South-Korean friend in college who was about 5ft. Yet one day she smiled at me, no warning, and brought her foot up in a well executed Kung-fu kick to just touching my jaw (she was flirting) with a wicked grin on her face and I got the message. Never underestimate women or the package a person comes in. I've seen the most tiny people take down giants with little to no effort. It's in the heart and the training and not the size!

When you're comparing men and women in any characteristic, you're comparing overlapping bell curves. While you might be able to make very vague generalisations that men tend to be a bit more this way or women that way, once you get down to woman x vs man y, that's all pretty meaningless. You just have to compare the individuals in front of you.

I was reading Last Flight before DAI came out. I've yet to finish it, and I've a load of other (not Bioware related) books backed up on my Kindle. One of these months...
