Wonderful, we just got an email at work telling us how to take care of ourselves in the cold. Tomorrow it's expected to be -4 F - 20 C with a wind chill of -20 F - 29 C

I don't think Sera would approve.

M65 Field Jacket and hoodie solves all cold.

but snow is awsome especially when you throw a snowball unknowingly loaded with a rock. And you can write your name in it with... a stick

pff the temperature drops here to 80/78 and I start to shiver

That is way too cold. I'm having enough trouble this winter, but it's not that cold.

da hell is MSG salt?

lol. It's taken from wheat and used as a flavor enhancer. My mother got to learn all about it when i started eating sold food. It causes debilitating migraines that always cause motion sickness and vertigo.

truth be told...I'm not fond with either the geth or the quarians....

That's when you drink ungodly amounts of hot chocolate and eat some home made chili with a spicy kick to it.

and they sold that crap?

Thankfully only a low percentage of people are effected by it. The only real problem is the fact that it falls under the natural flavors umbrella. So anything labeled as containing natural flavors can have msg in it.

Blue isn't bad...

Azuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure... :D

For the record, I'm a synthesis gal myself, although I've picked control a couple of times. Maybe one day I'll make a Shep who picks destroy, but I haven't been able to do it yet

Funny, all of my Sheps went for Destroy so far :D

Sounds challenging. And deadly. And I seriously wanna go hiking in that weather just to see if I could! :D

And on that note, goodnight folks

Nighty night!

She's the sacrifice for the greater good, blah blah blah, obey me, arrow in my face.

The only time it's fine to sacrifice somebody is when you're sacrificing yourself.

I mean, you have your consent, because you are willing to sacrifice yourself to achieve something. Nothing smelling foul about self-sacrifice to me.

Hum...

That depand of the context . In some stories , some outside influence lead ya to self sacrifice and it stink . And it is not always cool..

I believe in the Try ya damn hardest ! Try and Try until ya cant..then maybe...ya can self sacrifice ya self and it be ok . But I be sad..cose..while its noble...it isnt a happy moment .

The only time my shepard would sacrifice herself....would be.....if she didnt romance anyone..or at worse if she romanced Samara...cose......nvm..thats private

I agree with much here. It was a "powder keg" and you can't put the egg back together like it was after Anders actions and I am rather sympathetic to the mages (goes along with my politics in general). I wanted to back Leliana but BioWare are tricky and there is a certain thing you must do in convos with her at the start of the game or she goes rogue and at the end of the game it is too late.

I agreed with Leliana's views but not at the cost of her killing anyone and everyone opposed to her view. It really is frightening how extreme she gets if you don't set her on the right path right away.

Cass was sort of a middle ground choice then. But in my first game I was romancing her so I Rp'd my character to selfishly want that to continue plus I felt in her heart of hearts she would always be a warrior or a Seeker and I couldn't take that away from her.

What ended up happening is Leliana's descent towards political extremism or totalitarian views alarmed me and I ended up throwing my support, near the end of the game to Viv, but it did not matter. Leli got the job. This game I did not support the Mages but went with the Templars just to see how that plays out. I am still more sympathetic to the Mages in my heart of hearts though.

This is really interesting. I'm fascinated to find out what happens with Leli in this playthrough then, and whether I did what was required at the beginning or not.

I try very hard to go through games with the idea that if I make my bed I have to lie in it -- in other words, I reap what I sow. If the chips fall a certain way because I threw them like that, then so be it. (So many metaphors!). It's difficult not to want to 'game' the system though, and work out what actions produce the most ideal reactions and choose those options as a result. Particularly when the game takes so long to play (I'm on something like hour 185 of my first run... I'll not be as completionist next time though). I find I have to adopt a sort of Zen-like state about the whole thing, just let it go and figure that in real life we have to deal with the consequences of our actions and don't get to plan it all out in detail beforehand with knowledge of what every path will lead to. I am, admittedly, a bit rubbish at putting that into practice though. That being said, if Leli ends up becoming murderous then so be it, I'll have to deal with the implications of a world shaped that way as a result of my actions and put it down to one of just many parallel Thedas' that I've managed to screw up over the past 10 years of Dragon. :D

185! Wow you are completionist! I think Uncle is at that amount of time too. I managed about 97 hours before I caved as I wanted to see the ending.

I agree that you have to sort of lie in that bed you made and live with the consequences. In Origins I was never comfortable in the first playthrough with Alistair getting the crown. He had omitted his background and then refused to show mercy to Loghain (in my game) and I felt he would make a poor King and it sure seems that way in the world state I made for this game using the Origins results. But that's the beauty of the game in that you are presented with choices and you may never get that clear-cut, this is the most noble option, all nicely tied in black and white. You might get the choice of a lot of bad options much like real-life.

I will keep my first playthrough for the Keep so I can see how badly the world turns out with a murderous Leliana. It will be interesting. Hopefully there'll be some more benevolent world-states there too! :P

Dear My Respiratory System:

I hate you. You never loved me, and I want to break up, even though I can't live without you. Probably. Okay I realize that sounds dramatic, but seriously I am so over you.

P.S. the passive-aggressive "I'll be unpleasant until you take some mucinex" routine worked again, didn't it? And yet.

Oh believe me I don't envy you and I dread the return of the "polar vortex" we had last winter where it was typical to have a -15 morning and where we saw over 65 ft of snow the entire winter (probably more as there was a big storm every week from January through the beginning of March).
