It would be interesting to see what they think is canon then. Ok so Keiran will not appear in my current game then. That's fine. I plan to try a ton of different approaches to the game anyway and I mean, at some point, to go back to the Keep and create a few more scenarios/states to keep me busy.

I think their point is that there is no official "canon".

Intellectually I can understand this, but I don't feel anything.

Have you ever watched... adult material and saw the male as unattractive? Doesn't stop you from getting a hard-on. Well, not for me anyway.  :D

Now that I've done it on NM, I've joined the soiree of never going above normal. I just want to kick back and enjoy the scenery.

That's my plan. Finish up Nightmare eventually (hopefully) and then join the filthy casual horde forever. And ever... and ever...

Same here but my friend asked me to watch a walkthrough together because she wants to see the game, but doesn't have a good pc for it. Nor money for a console (poor friend)

And the walkthrough we're watching... sigh. The way he plays make me wanna scream. :P He even forgot to give Sera an armor and she was with her underclothes! "Oh, I didn't realize she wasn't wearing armor".

/facedesk

Oh btw, sadly he's the only one who pursues a romance with Sera. Couldn't find another pt with romanced Sera.

WHAT kind of person forgets to give armor to a character they like...

AND are romancing? I mean, what kind of Quizzy would forget that someone they love is not wearing any armor into battle...?

I did the US once while as a human noble romancing Leliana and I felt so bad for Leliana and dog that I went back and did the ritual. The only way I can do the US is to play someone other than the noble, stay away from dog and romance no one. I'm weak.

I miss dog. I'd gladly pay for a dlc for Inquisition that would give me a Mabari companion for Skyhold and maybe a couple of big dog bowls for the Quiz bedchambers.  :D

I don't know about you, but I never ever look at the males.

The females always get my attention a bit too much.

They don't, but he has some choice things to say about her in the quest leading up to getting her a present...

As I said, I knew they did not. It would be fun to see Sera and Solas fighting/arguing over Lavellan.

Sure, but for that to work the consequences have to remain possibilities. If DA:O was a standalone game then people could debate the right choice forever, but if DA5 rolls around and we still haven't had any problems arise from the choice then the reality is that the Dark Ritual is so far a fairly safe choice.

I will bet you any money you want, that the dark ritual will indeed turn out to be a perfectly safe choice. Just like letting the rachni queen go, or abandoning the Council, or siding with Orsino/Meredith.

That is how the Bioware philosophy works. And that's fine. While DA[4/5/6] may reveal the DR to be benign, that could be up a decade in the future. We're now 5 years after DAO's release, so we'll have had up to 15 years in which to contemplate, argue, and dissect the decision we made. And nothing that happens later can change how much impact that decision had at the time -- just like the rachni outcome being a bit lulzy did not change the fact that making that decision took me a good ten minutes.

Done well, a decision like this is memorable for its emotional and ethical significance, and can be a major defining moment for your character. It doesn't really matter what the consequences are; the decision itself is the important thing.

It's weird. Although the main reason I play BioWare games is that I love the characters and stories, I just don't enjoy playing on easy or normal difficulties. I like an element of challenge in the battles.

I'm not disagreeing.

And I haven't found any such choice in a BioWare game interesting. I guess it is fine because that's their style and it's not why I play their games.

Solas believing Sera is pulling Lavellan away from their people, or something like that.

This is based off of romancing Sera with Elf-quizzy.

I think he does show some.... disgust for it in banters. I guess he does take it more personal if you are an elf who romances Sera.

And the fact he doesn't talk much to other companions, sigh. Makes this pt really annoying and i really wanted my friend to get to know them better. She really loves Cass and Sera.

That's interesting. Are you saying that you don't find making a decision to be interesting until you know its outcome? By that argument, you could never find any decision in a game to be interesting, because you only discover what happens after you make it.

That's my fear. That I will simply find Casual too easy and won't be able to live without constant party wipe doom looming overhead.

No I meant I largely haven't found BioWare moral choices interesting, or at least memorable.

I think their point is that there is no official "canon".

The thing is a lot of people seem to confuse 'default' with 'canon'. It happened in Mass Effect and I see the same thing with DA right now.

I do believe the default world state (no Keep) for Inquisition goes with the US ending for Origins.

I'm pleased that I've yet to wipe on my nightmare playthrough. It's early days yet, though, and I came close at one fade rift...

For me, usually it was Sera breaks contact or bust.

Because you know, Stealth.

Okay, completely off-topic but oh well. I want to know, how can the protagonist of Far Cry "fix" himself up without making any scream or sign he's in agony? I'm playing right now and I've just had to pull my dislocated finger to get it back to normal and he hasn't even made a sound.

What's the deal with Sera having a preference for quanri's? I haven't noticed any of the other romance options in the game being like that. Kinda bums me out when I only like playing humans and elves.

Still absolutely love Sera though, she's one of my favourites

Well, I mean I would love to have a tall, blue eyed, blonde haired, lanky computer nerd fall for me, but I'd still happily date bron haired athlethes.

You know? Just because something makes your heart go an extra pitter-patter doesn't mean that's who you'll actually end up falling for. <3

People are made of much sterner stuff in video games. In that situation I might cry or even think of my Mother. Might even say "mommy..."
