I do agree that playing Qunari does give you the most problems with finding different looking armours. A lot of the cool ones are for elf or human trained only.

Ah see I haven't played as Qun. Only Human and Elf so far.

*now that I think about it I crafted stuff for Bull last game and gave up because no matter what I made he still came out looking like Bull and nothing ever covered those nipples of his.

Me neither, but I notice the restrictions.

All the more reason to roll rogue since the best counter to enemy archers is a pair of daggers in their back.

That's the most satisfying feeling in the game.

Err, this from the dagger wielders perspective ofc.

Yup...

Ya do Hinterland , Stormcoast , err.....Fallenmire thingy place....then get Skyhold..then ya do the Oasis...and then ya do crestwood..and then ya do that follow the gray warden desert Place...and all I got from all these Maps is one gray warden armor for a Mage from crestwood...one carta armor for varric...one templar armor for Cass...

and nothing for meh .

Not the whole time. It depends on how you choose to do stuff. I got to that shop before I did the Temple of Mythal, for example. Also, there are different random armour drops, like Grey Warden Armour.

I got the Dalish Scout Armor before doing much. Technically, just a lot of exploring, and just the scene where you meet Hawke's friend near Crestwood. On my second PT when I knew where to look.

On my first, with Arianne, I never found the store until Hissing Wastes were the last area for me to do - and even then, I had about 80 percent of it done.

Then I encountered the Elf-trained bug (fixed since) so Arianne only wore the armor way post-completion.

I should clarify that what Alexia means when she says "brownish coat" is the design, not the actual colour... The standard armours are basically variations on a theme...

Yeah the Long Coat . Its start off brownish I think...

The point is...I'm complaining about lack of design.....to look different . Ya know..not change the color of an armor ya dont like the look of it...

I do like that one armor ya put on ya screenie Grand Pa...but I havent found any schematic that is higher..for me its get lower stats so Im forced to make the brownish coat......

Although right now...deleted and I'm a Qun Qun Warrior....

Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking she was somehow getting the same color with each new design.

Or "blue". :)

Azzurra?

Ooh, so we could say 'By Azzurra, by Azzurra, by Azzurra!' everytime she shows up!

How about Gorgon? It's a creature from mythology (Medusa was one) and it's short for gorgonzola, which is a blue cheese! Whaddaya think?

the gear does follow the same boring design though. what bothers me most is the gear that came with the deluxe edition is so low level! there's literally no point in having it...even in the beginning.

I used it for a bit in the beginning... Then I crafted better and wore it pretty much the entire game. It looked good on a Rogue.

Not so good on a Mage.

Yeah it took me a while to understand what she meant when she was talking about it before...

Talking of things that were in early publicity but not the game, do you remember that mission they showed where you had to prioritize saving a keep or a village? (I'm thinking it was Crestwood.) I wonder what happened to that? Also, whatever happened to "Whatever we were before, we are now The Inquisition!"?

Yep. That was a gyp and some of it is ugly looking. I managed to upgrade the sword my first game through crafting and that bought a few levels but it wasn't really all that worth it.

Don't get me started on the throne...

I remember reading about the Crestwood thing and looking for that part of the story when the game came out.

Damn Uncle but I've heard the "whatever we were before..." line. You haven't?

I do recall them making the Crestwood thing seem like you had to either save the village or do the keep mission. When I got to Crestwood I was thinking I'd have to do it that way. I chose to stop the undead attacks on the village and then I did the Keep mission or was allowed to and no penalty. They must have changed their minds on it shortly after the publicity for it. That happens. I don't mind changes in development that alter things. I do take exception to things I sense are cut out for resale later as dlc. That bugs me. Rome 2 *cough, cough*

I encountered one in the Fallow Mire and there are several I think in the Exalted Plains and at least one in the Hissing Wastes I think. But yeah I love them especially if you get one early on cause then they are serious challenge. The Mire fight is usually tough enough cause it's usually done early. I didn't have problem with the ones in the plains and wastes.

I seriously burst out laughing reading that, thank you Cat.  (I kinda liked the overly attached fan, poor guy only wanted to be useful)

But Gorgons are kinda...how shall I put it? Scary. The word "gorgon" literally means "dreadful", if I remember correctly. Am I scary?
