Both! But yeah I guess a secret group with a uniform is hard to pull off. Maybe a trinket with a symbol they recognize.

I still can't make out an accent. I'm tempted to say Scottish but I have no clue. Just not easy to tell from an off-screen recording. 

 

I would guess they don't have a uniform or anything that would distinguish them considering they are super secret.

I just always chose to believe the "Cerberus" logo was a logo for one of their shell companies.

 

Of course, that isn't true, but it helped me sleep at night.

Then again, I think I paid too much attention to the flavor text in ME1. 

 

 

Nothing says 'super secret' like slapping your insignia on literally everything you own. 

It's bad; I grabbed a file that gave me access to all the causal armor in ME2 because I did not want to walk around looking like a Cerebus drone.

Back onto the subject: To be fair, it worked for Tallis.  A lot of folks (including me, sadly,) did not notice the symbol of the Qun in her armor.  It could be something much more subtle and small, but something only a trained eye would notice.

If they actually roll out VA videos for each individual character as they did with IB, that will be too awesome.

 

Or alternatively, they could do like they did with ME2/3 back in the day and combine a bunch of them into a single video. Either would do.

I recall the thieves' guild signal in Quest for Glory: put your thumb on your nose and wiggle your fingers while patting your belly.

I'd run around doing that to all the NPCs and they'd usually have funny reactions. Though that one paladin gets pissed at you and kicks you out of his place.
