I paired Alistair up with Anora for this very reason. I get the same, "Holy sh*t I better be careful around this b*tch" reaction with Vivienne and Sera. And I love that. It's my woman-with-humongous-balls radar going off. Anora's got them.

I have to replay at some point and try it all out. Thing is Anora is a viper. He probably does make a better King married to her but she is bad news on wheels.

don't let alistair kill loghain. you have to do it. if alistair does it, anora won't marry him. also you have to persuade him for that one. I think you need tier 3 persuasion for that.

This. So much this. Anora is a deceitful pol but probably a tough and effective administrator. I dislike Viv intensely as a person/character but she comes off as confident and competent so it's why I would not fret over the Chantry being in her hands. She'll ****** people off royally in social situations but she'll do the job well and get less people killed.
don't let alistair kill loghain. you have to do it. if alistair does it, anora won't marry him.

I suggested at the landsmeet after the fight with Loghain and after personally besting him in combat. I suggested to Alistair that he spare Loghain and Alistair ordered me to kill him and I was pleased that my Warden was given the option to refuse to carry out that order whereupon Alistair executed him there and then which I thought was a ****** poor way to begin a reign.

The only part that made me mad..is that she doesnt see what daddy dearest did bad...that alone earned her 'forever never getting the Throne' . But if we could take the damn loghain stuff and she wouldnt be his daughter..she is good .
I still haven't wrapped my head around why Fiona chose to align with Alexius but my senses say that a lot of subterfuge was involved. The best way to egg someone into a stupid decision is when they are vunerable. And let's be clear: the mages were vulnerable. especially those that wanted nothing to do with the blasted war to begin with. That fight or flight syndrome kicks in at some point. I dislike how these aspects are almost never discussed and serves as a point to demonize ALL mages.
that's an issue I have with Viv's character. while her response about the mage/templar war does offer a different perspective, it also simplifies it. And sure SHE has the luxury of thinking that way...chilling with her dear duke and all. But she also knows they could flip the script on her too. She walks the line well though, I'll give her that.
From what I understood , some tevinter Mages infiltrated the mass and started a rumor that Templar are about to come and crush everyone . Alexius Show up and corner her even more playing on her fears . Thats why she accepted his offer......she though Templars were on their way .

Aye see...after ya get Anora in the castle (After ya get arrested) thats when ya should start suggesting a wedding with these 2 . cose ya end up talking to Anora shortly afterward....
recipe: harden alistair, coerce him into marriage with Anora, kill Loghain yourself (or let him live but for me naw. Alistair will object but Anora will tell him to get some chill.) In hindsight, my objection. to Alistair being king has less to do with his leadership capabilities and more to do with the potential for Arl Eamon and Teagan to use him....as evidenced by that sheisty letter he sends the Inquisition after dealing with the mages. he lightweight threatens you talmbout "I hope this matter will not have to be referred to the crown". Bruh....bruh...if it wasn't for the people in Redcliffe, none of my wardens would have helped you ya bish! My canon warden didn't like him at all.
