the scene I saw was one where the guy busted into a room with two women being...I guess intimate. it had no context or held none for me so I'm just like...whet? it was...just...idk. I have no words.

Bioshock Infinite caught me off guard. All the racism everywhere. BUT, I did enjoy the game. very high replay value. That's what I buy games based on...the potential for replay. That Witcher joint...well naw.

right, but in infinite, its supposed to be shocking and terrible, its supposed to make you recoil and is show as being very bad...the over all radical american exceptionalism in the game serves a purpose and is clearly portrayed as a terrible aspect of the culture of the city

Currently playing DW rogue on nightmare. Level 9 at the moment. I've died a time or two but no party wipes. I'm not finding it too tough but I suppose it depends on your playstyle.

well I'm playing a DW Qunari Rogue on Hard, and I've had a couple party wipes.  I'm trying to play it very thorough and slowly, but finding it very difficult..

so see Uncle, you would beat me apparently

Only if you get hit, my friend. I've notice that pretty much all the AoE attacks are telegraphed and Evade happens to be an instant activation ability. No delay, perfect for dodging bear stomps and giant thrown boulders.

Its really fun to play because it requires you to be very alert because you are super squishy. But it turns out it is possible to play nightmare as a DW rogue. The game really isn't that hard, but then people called DA: O hard once upon a time (its easy compared to DA: I even on nightmare).

Well looks like my 2nd game will be a coin toss between a sword and tank or a stabby, stabby rouge.

Is a dagger rouges do-able? I read that due to the stupidly high amount of 360 aoe attacks, dagger rouges get tore apart pretty quick.

I've played twice as a dual dagger rogue and it is my favourite. You just have to watch where you're stepping. But the amount of damage I can deal with a good set of blades is incredible.

Yeah except then they paint the leader of the resistance as "just as bad" and drop all nuance and so the racism doesn't play out like it should and I love that game but I also hate it.

(Dragon Age does this too tbh with mages and Templars but at least it's not drawing direct parallels so it bothers me less)

Part of it is the importance of armour. You're definitely squishy, so I load up on all the extra health bonuses.

Stabbing is so much more fun! You get throwing blades - which you can poison!

Great game agreed, that ending wow. I only played it once myself though but I wasn't long after playing the first 2 games so I was pretty burnt out on Bioshock by then.

Hahaha! If the fight is virtual I might stand a chance it seems. Can we do that? :D

I rarely use tactical camera. Its about using the best crowd control spells. Lighting Cage + Ice Mine. Also, plenty of regen potions and jar of bees on bosses. Fiona gets eaten alive by bees as do a lot of early bosses.

If you know where the Might Potion is hidden in the storm coast, use that to give your DW rogue a massive damage boost. Its literally a flat damage increase (even the base +13 damage effect is like having a weapon a few levels higher than you currently are).

Note: I only play on nightmare. Its doable and not that hard. But you need to be using the best spells/abilities for each companion.

really?  I'm sorry to hear that. I never equated her with the principles of the rebellion itself, and she was bad because by that point she didn't really want equality or justice either, she wanted vengeance and blood.  It was one of those "power corrupts" kind of things, and how often violent revolution becomes blind with anger.

I never felt like her bloodlust validated the racism, or took away from how terrible it was, but different people have different experiences of course, and its definitely one of those games that causes strong reactions....

Hey, Infinite keeps it real. Early 1900s American was plenty racist, even more so than the game. Not something my country likes to acknowledge.

Whereas I use tac cam most of the time and rely less on optimal spell/ability combos. Not finding it hard my way, either. ;)

Don't worry, it's not smut. It's safe and amusing.

I'm pretty sure that describes the Sera thread as well. Just not necessarily in that order. :P

Hehe, something along the lines of this?

Yeah. I think she missed something like "intelligent discussion of topics that may or may not be tangentially related to Sera."
