Some people take their wardens waaaaaaaaayyyy too seriously..... All that headcannon stuff is exactly why they should never bring back the warden, ever.
Also, fan tears are delicious.

Who wants to buy a Mabari Plush?

Damn me and my spending. I could have one right now!
Sometimes I think Serza and I are the only people in the world who don't have a problem controlling tac cam with keyboard and mouse...
And out of the two of us, I rarely use it, even on Nightmare...
Also, I think it was Cat who mentioned Grim Fandango? There's supposed to be a remaster coming at the end of the month.

I missed this first time round but Wissy and Veeia's tips were solid. What tips do you have for a DW rogue on hard?
I missed this first time round but Wissy and Veeia's tips were solid.
Adding to their tips:
- Prioritize targets. Archers die first unless there are mages around.
After that, the enemy with the lowest health attacking your tank or any enemy frozen or paralyzed by the party mage/s.
Unsuccessful attacks on an ally with Shield Wall up can leave an enemy stunned as well, leaving them ripe for Twin Fangs or Deathblow.
- Craft for Flanking Damage and +Attack.
- Deathblow is a must IMO. It's a Precision detonator and can outright kill many enemies or seriously mess them up.
It's also bugged so it doesn't trigger Dance of Death after killing an enemy and drains all your stamina, so use it either on preoccupied or isolated targets.
I actually play without deathblow because its bugged. I just alternate between Twin Fangs and Shadow Strike. If you have tempest, you can use fire flask to abuse deathblow. Otherwise I stick with hidden blades from assassin for my big burst damage.
I could see my Hawke calling for their disbandment, since the last encounter ended up being a total trap involving a magister darkspawn, and then the rest of them became dupes for a sinister Tevinter a-hole. I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw them at that point.

Gah! That reminds me that my DW Hawke bugged on import and was a warrior. Grrr...I don't know about disbandment but threatening them would be in character for my Hawke.
I'm more annoyed he didn't use Assassinate or Vendetta.
It would have made for some short fights.
Honestly my favorite Hawke moment is if you have Alistair as the warden he is like "Lol why are you being such a jerk about us ruining stuff , you basically ruined Kirkwall"
Having imported a bunch of Hawkes, the only one I felt worked was my aggressive pro-Templar Anders romancing and staying with him but not approving of him warrior Hawke, the others were so "...ok well wev", haha.and that wasn't one I played through in da2, I just wanted to see how the dialogue went.
Mage Hawke dialogue was jarring as heck. "Blahblah bloodmagic bad blah blah" >.< Girl, you ARE a blood mage. Your spouse is also a blood mage (Merril). >.< Bad writing was bad.
Hi guys... I don't want to go to Uni today...
Fact is, you probably don't have a FRIGGIN' EXAM today.

Now that I think about it, Caterina also was strictly againist Blood Magic... and she obviously didn't mind Merrill at all. Quite the opposite, as far as I can judge from the fact they share a bed...
Should've been like "Meh, Blood Magic. Ninety nine percent chance they're of the evil sort, and not like Merrill."
Because, seriously. The most evil deed Merrill ever did was pick flowers from other people's gardens. And she is a Blood Mage!

No, I had to do a presentation, that I completely f*cked up on, in front of the people I study with. Happy days!
I don't like Shadow Strike (missed too many times for my liking) but Deathblow can hit clustered enemies as well.
Despite being bugged, I still prefer the damage it provides over Shadow Strike.
Different ways to skin a cat and all that s***.
Shadow Strike and pretty much all the abilities can hit multiple enemies if they are close enough together. Though if Deathblow is easy to hit multiple enemies with then I should try that out. lol

I played a sarcastic hawke, and in DAI it felt like agressive hawke.I take my warden way too seriously and I agree, lmao. They shouldn't bring them back because I would be so mad at any small OOC moment, and Hawke had like 5 of them for me and she was a much more predetermined character. I mean I get the attachment but unless it's a playable character, I don't know why people want it. No way she could be done justice, IMO.
Agreed on the OOC stuff. Add to that the fact that the only voice we have for the Warden comes from their battle cries. It would be a recipe for disaster.
Also... The reason the Warden is away is precisely because of said "expiration date". They are trying to overcome it.

You mean blood mage Hawke. I never RPd a blood mage, but that's the problem. It's not just about mission choices or even snarky/diplomatic/agressive personality. There are so many different layers to how you can play your Hawke that they can't possibly hope to convey even with a Keep import. I wouldn't call it bad writing as such, I'd call it a thankless and nigh on impossible task.

Also that even without voice sets you should have two to four separate accents per gender, but both elf accents have been retconned now.
That said I think there are a stack of ways they could have brought back the Warden if they wanted without breaking anything, and even if they didn't ruling over Amarathine was always an option and would have been as believable as anything else expressed through the War Table. Or multiple other sideline text things which could be chosen from in the Keep.
Yeah except then they paint the leader of the resistance as "just as bad" and drop all nuance and so the racism doesn't play out like it should and I love that game but I also hate it.
That and you experience it all from the perspective of an armed, capable white man who answers to no one. Well he answers to Jennifer Hale, but you get the idea.
In related news, most alternate-historical or AU fiction is not very rigorous. Hell, Archer had a far more sensible take on airships than the rest of those doofs.
Heh, much as I love airships I have to accept they were obsolete nearly as soon as they were invented and spectacularly prone to crashing.
Eh. I didn't much like Skyrim either. I didn't like that people tried to get me into it with a "it's a 'smart people' RPG with a lot of history and a huge world, right up your alley!"...with the accompanying implication that games with a more 'focused' path are for idiots.
I never really got into but what I tasted of Elder Scroll's history was pretty dull. Things just happened, there was no punch.
Sure ain't there on PC in ultra. All I see is freckles...
...grey eyes.

I hope they don't overcome it, I hope they die..so there will be an end once and for all.
