Also; Solas is a massive ass when you do Sera's romance quest as a Dalish. What is it he says? "Sera is no more an Elf than I am a horse"? Something along those lines. Those two don't like each other one bit...
Aithne's very blinded to "Elves are the only ones who understand me" so since there was no Solas to go to, she went to Sera.

It's really easy to gain back approval lost with him though, just keep asking him questions aha. I never reached the very very low approval smack him in the face moment. We got on pretty well disagreements and all in all my runs thus far.
Hawke is just a terrible protag in general, leave him/her in the Fade for all my runs except one. Positives though her VA is terrific.
I think Hawke is interesting but difficult to work with, at least in that story.

There's a thing. BioWare protagonist basically can't have an emotional breakdown. There's no hold down left trigger to turn the safeties off then press B to turn into a crying wreck hanging tightly onto the nearest companion, alternating between heaving sobs and sharp, ragged intakes of breath. Understandable, but it means that there's nothing for companions to react to except passive strength.
Sera is horrible to Lavellan, but Lavellan is nearly never anything but cold steel. Companions can only react a certain way because the protagonist never demands a different response. Sera probably would react differently to a sobbing Inquisitor, but that isn't allowed.

They're representative of slave markings. The Dalish got it wrong. 
Aithne couldn't keep her marks now that she knew what they really represented. But she was also doing it for Solas.
And they have this deep amazing spiritual kiss, and then he breaks up with her!

Same here. I am now looknig so forward to punching him with my fierce dwarf Abaeni. She has a temper.
