Orlieasn Masgistrate: the prisoner butchered a general and his family.

CrimsonN7: And your point? How much for bail?

Later in the war room:

Inquisitor: How do we get Blackwall out of prison?

Cullen: We could send soldiers to storm Val Royeaux.

Inquisitor: :P

Man range character AI can be really stupid sometimes. I understand that range Rouges have a couple of stun or knock down attacks that they have to get in close to use. But, it's really starting to cheese me off when they refuse to pull back after using them. Especially given the fact that they seem to feel the need to be right beside the tank during a dragon or giant fight. Sometimes ever cast AI tends to do the same thing.  Killing a giant last night. Solas runs out of cover, right up to the giant, gets pounded by AOE. I open up the tac cam, move him back to cover. He fires off two spells and runs right up the damn giant again. This cycle repeated through out the entire fight. That and the times where the ai tends to shutdown mid-fight and stand there really have me questioning if I want to do a 2nd playthough. At least with DA:O we had a more robust tactic system  that one could use to work around that games wonky AI. Now it's like your companions are a bunch of paint chip eating dumb fucks.

This problem is solved if you give solas the hold position command. I don't have this issue. As long as theres clear line of sight, my ranged characters don't move.

Yeah. Hold position actually works in this game! It's awesome.

Tried. When the range AI goes full on ****** it only works for a few sec. Trust me I tried, a lot last night before giving up. During one failed attempt Solas and Sera used every damn healing potion because no matter what I tired, they keep running right up to the damn giant and got smashed.

See, people? Short hair looks GOOD!

....sorry, she's certainly very cute with it and of course, in general she is one of those classically beautiful ladies...but short hair just..doesn't look good to me.  Just my own personal taste...actually let me change that to attractive good... people can look good with short hair, I just don't personally find them attractive...

I had seen the commercial I just always assumed it wasn't really her because something just looked off about it.  Now I know why, because its her head on someone elses body.

Cullen: We could send soldiers to storm Val Royeaux.

I actually couldn't believe he said that. I just kind of stared at the screen awhile thinking "When did I give you the impression that I want to move soldiers into the capitals of neighboring kingdoms? Do we want to be at war with everyone?"

Maybe it was a reflex for him, like Solas responding to questions.

Wait, you can give a single individual member a hold command?  How did I miss this?

Go to tac cam, double-click on the place where you want the person to stay. Party member will walk to that point and stay there, engaging all enemies within range but otherwise not moving. If party member gets a subsequent order that conflicts with the hold order (like an "attack all" on a target that is not in range) the subsequent order takes priority and they will stop holding position.

Are you sure they are set to hold position? When you do set them to hold position, you can not give them another order or it will override the hold position. Also, make sure they have line of sight to your target or an order to attack will cause them to move and therefore cancel hold position.

She is absolutely, but that commercial was creepy to me because something just...was off, was wrong...and its the CGI.  which makes sense because I had the same reaction to the demon baby in Twilight.

But yes she is a classic beauty.  very tiny..I'd be afraid to date her, if we danced I'd be worried about breaking something by stepping on her foot or spinning her to hard or something...but absolutely a classic beauty.

Crap, so many good discussions going on here and no time to meaningfully contribute, but briefly, crim *sad proud Dalish fistbump*

I ended up pairing mine with Cullen, because he was the only LI who didn't actively crap on Dalish and wasn't too busy having his own dramalama antics to ask her how she was holding up with all this crap, lmao. Blackwall and Josie would be secondary choices, I think, but ahahha woe to the Dalish elf who wants to date another elf.

So much woe.  :crying:

She just has her hair tied back in that if you look closely. It's not as short as you think.

Set the hold position and that's it. Given where the fight took place. I positioned them where they would be clear of the giants aoe and thanks to the area having walls on both sides, the giant was unable to move far enough out of the way to be out of their range.  So they should have not moved at all. Was not the first time the AI pulled this crap as well. Thankfully it does seem to be rare. But, of course it seems to come up during the worst time possible.

This was also the time where all of my part started to randomly stop attacking and stood around while I was to being pounded into dust by the giant mid fight. Both issue came up about six of my 9 attempts to clear the giant. Come to think of it., same exact thing happened during the Fear demon fight in the fade and during the envy demon fight when helping the Templars.

If the mages are allied and Leiana is Divine then they do get a good rep.

Huh, when I allied with em I got Cassie as Divine and they still fought among themselves in the end, seeing as Lels is a champion of mage rights that fits though.

*eyes you.....*  No.  I did not 'watch Twilight' and don't you ever dare accuse me of such a thing again.

It was on.  I did not watch it.  It was on.  Actually my significant other was watching it.  They have read the books, ripped apart the books psycology in an academic presentation, and so occasionally they will put it on TV as background.

Again.  It was on.  I did not watch it.  It was just on.  that is all.

Classic signs of denial. Don't worry, sir. Your secret's safe with me.  ^_^
