I'm quite interested to see her point of view on Cole. I don't like that she refers to him as 'it'.... But she's still damn swoon-worthy.
I'm more interested to see her point of view when I do my eventual 'evil' run and decide to sell as many people into slavery and death as possible. I always enjoy seeing how far you have to push a character before they leave or kill you.

Sure but
like
the Inquisitor is gonna milk the 'bandaged and weak' thing for attention.
That was the general idea.
"Everyone expects me to fix everything and this is a legitimate reason to lie down for five minutes."
With potential for hair stroking. (or horns, maybe Qunari like having their horns pet and it's embarrassing to say out loud idk)
Have you been to tumblr and bsn lately? Cause for every Sera fan there has appeared about 3 persons overreacting to her attitude
I am on tumblr and I am burying my head in the sand to avoid such things.

This 'giggle-snort' of hers surely deserves a reveal of its own before DAI is released.

I think the whole thing with Cole is similar to the thing with Merrill in DA2. If you'd played DAO you knew that blood magic wasn't inherently evil, and that the eluvians were good and useful things. If you only went by what you saw in DA2, you'd think blood magic was horrible and eluvians were things that shouldn't be messed with. So it is with Cole, if you don't know anything about Cole other than what you've read about him in his 'all that matters is that I helped' comment, then he seems like a great person/thing who you'd want to have around. If you've read the book, you know that his favorite way of 'helping' people is to murder them. He believes he will fade away if he doesn't keep killing, so he finds people who are down on their luck, decides they'd be better off dead anyway, and kills them. So certainly Sera is right to not trust Cole, as is Vivienne. I'll probably kill/dispel him the first chance I get myself, but if I'd never read the book I'd probably keep him around and try to get my fellow teammates to like him. And then somebody would end up dead, and I'd regret having kept him around. So it's a good thing I read the book

1) We have no clue of Sera's background with demons.
2)We don't know if she meant to dehumanize Cole.
3) we don't know if Cole cares or refers himself as 'him' or 'it'.
We don't know, it's true. But we do have most distressing signs.

Er, it was kind of a major plot point that Cole realized that that was a bad idea, and that he stopped.

Also, I've been wanting to put this up for awhile. Does anyone remember the Phil Hartman "Sassy" skits on SNL?
When I meet Sera, this is how I'm going to feel.

In the most wonderful way. ![]()

I don't know if it's because I don't recall care if she hates Cole, but I think either outcomes are possible. We don't know, it's true. But we do have most distressing signs.

I'd tell her to shut up (assuming if it'll be ever possible), if she emulates Anders/Fenris on Merrill. But i don't see the a problem in hating him, expecially at first and with her knowledge on the topic. She doesn't have access to our info, and we don't know how we'll come to meet Cole.

She seems to actually go farther than Fenris if that comment is any indication. It's possible that Cole doesn't mind, but it's a poor assumption to make.

I have a feeling she will straight up say she likes you. If you initiate a romance with her of course.

I'm willing to wait and see her circumstances in game before I make a decision in game. She might have a very good reason why she is so unkind towards Cole. Granted, I still think it's petty as hell to call him an "it", and I don't agree with her antagonism towards him.

She strikes me as the type that will be honest with you either way. If she likes you, she'll express it in several ways. I think the same goes for distrust or anger. I have a feeling her and Varric would be the first to go, "Dude, wtf?" if you do things like abandon Crestwood Village.

Definitely. Lukas said she couldn't hide her feelings even if she tried.

I disagree. I'm not talking about her opinion on spirits compared to Fenris' opinion of mages, but in the specific way Fenris and Anders treated Merrill. Sera seems set on Ignoring him. I don't really care if she thinks spirits aren't people, as long as she doesn't go to abuse him. Companions in previous games had terrible opinion of different groups of people. She seems to actually go farther than Fenris if that comment is any indication. It's possible that Cole doesn't mind, but it's a poor assumption to make.
And why It'd be a poor assumption to make? We have no clue on how Cole actually feels in this regard. I guess he'd be surely hurt before finding what he was, but I see him not caring about it without a problem. It is obviously possible he'll actually care, but I don't see it more or less likely then the alternative.

I don't know. I don't feel the same way as Sera, but I can see plently of good reason to be antagonistic with Cole, or to really fear or mistrust him.
