cool, I figured, alto is a great instrument, but god i love the deep tones a Bari can do...

I was a trombonist myself, but I've not picked one up in 20 years or so...

lil bro good or serz?

I have no family, remember? Made up of the remains of dead G.I.'s.

Damn, that's an old joke. And not a very funny one.

Saving Private Ryan was a pretty... raw... movie when it comes to war, though. Or so I believe.

Also, I dunno why everyone tries to drop the A at the end in English. Not even the first time. Guess it's awkwardly placed for English speakers...

Wasn't fun for Dazzle. I kind off feel ashamed now.

Rightfully so, if I may say so myself... It went sort of weird.

kinda wierd tho in hindsight lol

Yup.

okay On Topic Question....

if Sera were to get a pet (Like Anders getting ser-pounce-a-lot), what kind of pet would she want?

something cute and furry?

something dangerous and crazy like bees?

or something wickedly powerful like a dragonling?

Something dragon-ish, like a lizard someone mentioned.

Or maybe something small and cute. Maybe not a cat. Or maybe a Cat. One that is black and lives in the basement of Skyhold...

That's the kind of Cat that can take care of itself...

It's a common thing in English to cut a multiple syllable name down to one:

Christopher/Christine>Chris

Robert>Rob

Steven>Steve

Peter>Pete

David>Dave

Katherine>Kath

Susan>Sue

etc...

In Texas, we just extend this to entire sentences.

I've never picked one up... Always wanted to try, but know jack **** about any horn instruments. Umm.. I love Coltrane though. I love all jazz horns more than jazz guitar, in fact..even if I play guitars.

its not really a horn.....in fact (I didn't do this but) it is usually recommended that you learn the Clarinet first, and then the Saxophone, as they are very similar and it will give you good basics for playing the Sax.  Its a completely different mouth formation than horns like French, Trumpets, or Trombones.

with a woodwind you have to learn to love your reeds, and use your tongue on them.....

you see why it works for jazz....skilled tongues and such....my band teacher used to always say..if you're gonna play jazz you gotta do it a little....dirty...

Horns are fun. I'm slowly learning the trumpet.

I started playing guitar in middle school/high school and quickly convinced myself I was going to be the best shredder their is in no time. Between the frustration of not progressed as fast as I wanted to and my life getting crazy, I simply had to stop playing. About two years ago I figured that it was the right time to pick up an instrument. Around this time I also start to branch out to other types of music and dove head first into Funk and Jazz. After hearing Marcus Miller and  TM Stevens. So I got a bass and started learning their songs. The odd part is the fact that despite the many hours I played guitar. I have progressed faster playing bass than I ever did playing guitar. Maybe i just found the right music for me at the right time in my life.

I believe that the last time this question came up I suggested an ant farm: Easy to leave alone for a while while out adventuring and a source for prank material.

Yeah, but you mostly don't butcher a name like that :P

The fact making it harder, it's a title of sorts you might use if you're familiar with the person.

Never is easy with those words. I might change the name, though. It no longer reflects my path in life.

I never had the ambition to shred... but I started the same age as you. I was more into punk, metal (rhythm), and grungey stuff at the time (it was early 90s) and kind of stuck with the same foundations all of these years later. People tell me I'm a much better bass player... which I hate to hear, but they're probably right. I'm more melodic there.

There's plenty of tongue action involved in playing a brass instrument too, but it's the lips that make the noise instead of a reed. A totally different technique indeed.

Breaking news:

Apparently, if you conscript the mages but still manage to make Leliana Divine, then the mages get their freedom but Fiona decides to stay with the Inquisition and form the bright hand, the inquisition's personal mage college. How SWEET is that?!

I'm starting a new playthrough just for this ending.

For me bass is where it's at. I still play guitar every once in a while. But, once I started to get good a slap bass and playing with my fingers, playing guitar just isn't as fun.

Well, now that's pretty awesome.

Question is, how do you make sure Leli is Divine while conscripting the mages?

oh yes, but it seemed much more about the lips, at least when I tried it with the guys in our Jazz band it seemed that way to me.  but yeah. different techniques, different instruments, but you put a sax and a trombone together....a little trumpet in the background with some drums and a piano......mmmmmmm the sounds you can get...god its been so long since I played

I thought her being the divine, Cass being her right hand and Cullen taking over the Seekers would be the best outcome hands down. With Cass and Cullen in those position, they could do a lot of good for the mages and reform the Templar.

Yeah as I said the lips do the work to make the sound, but you need your tongue to make a break in the notes, especially on a trombone. It would all be glissandos otherwise.

http://dragonage.wik...Divine_election

Theres a list of approval gains for Divine election. Its actually not that hard to make up for the large -10 hit for conscripting the mages.

Makes sure to comment on how the chantry has failed whenever you can. it likely gives a +1 to Leliana.

Keep the wardens in Orlais provides a +5 for Leliana.

Conscripting the mages gives a large boost to Viviene so as long as you tell Vivi (and anyone you can) that you support reform and mage freedom (disapproval from her) and make sure to not give Cass any Divine election approval, Leliana should end up Divine.

Inquisitor speech on gaining skyhold

"I'll do it because its right" +5 to Leliana.
