I did the bear quest last game. Took on one bear to get that last pelt. Second bear shows up. Third bear. Solas goes down. Get one of the bears taken care of and feel confident that maybe I can take on the other two if I can revive Solas. Pack of Mabari show up. Aw hell.

 

This reminds me of that place in Emerald Graves.

I remember that place. Trying to get map completion there was a f*cking nightmare because of those giants.

Hahaha yes it's very similar to that. That area in the Graves is bad cause giants seem stacked on each other and a stray shot brings in the rhinos. I didn't venture into that area really till I was lvl 18-20 because of the bad wipe I had when I went in at lvl 14!

Those b*stards killed too many of my horses in RD. Fling some dynamite at those frakers, overkill sure but my horses. :'(

I left finishing Emerald Graves until late on my first PT, so those giants were under-levelled for me and actually a good source of loot for cash....

He didn't show up that time but the Mabari appearance was bad enough and sent me running for my life! But those lyrium smugglers are pretty bad early in game and in those situations. I have had that experience of fighting bear in the Hinterlands only for one of those jokers to decide it would be fun to decloak in the middle of that!

Sera exhibits so many traits that I usually find really annoying in people, and yet they just endear her to me. Why is that?

 

Edit: In this case those banters remind me of folk shouting in English in a foreign country as if that will make them be understood...

Homing dynamite/fire bottles is one of the most magnificent glitches in video game history. And yes, my horses! I loved the white horse. So pretty. 

Horses were actually useful in RDR.

Yeah love that too, even tho Sera was kiiiinda unfair in this banter i just posted. I mean this elf is old as hell, it's logical she'd only know her birth language.

 

What surprised me is why didn't Solas help with translation. Isn't the same language with recent elven?

Nah. RoamingMachine is still around. He's one of the most rabidly pro-elfy-elf people on the boards I think. Also Serza, although they both love Sera too...

Or something like that. Dorian's reply doesn't satisfy me either (he just drops it). I would have told her this:

 

BC: Right. Next time I'll remember you're stupid and use small words that your small brain can understand. (I know it's mean, but I hate that kind of attitude).
