Suzuki founded Pancrase alongside another mma fighter/wrestler named Masakatsu Funaki, back in 93. He also beat Ken Shamrock to become the 2nd heavy wight camp. As for the Inoki and Ali fight. Ali and his people knew he Inoki would win and it would have been a lot better if the fight never took, rather than handycap Inoki with a bunch of stupid rules.

I looked him up, Suzuki's resume is impressive.
Beating Shamrock in his prime but only losing to Bas Rutten is nothing to sneeze at.

Agreed on Ali/Inoki too.
The story making the rounds at the time was that after seeing Inoki train, the Ali camp got scared.
Sad thing is, the damage Ali's legs took in that fight completely f***** his boxing career.
