I hate Celene/Briala on so many levels lmao.

First, it's gross on a character level, because Celene treats her like garbage.

Then there's the power difference they don't even mention in the game. Like I'll give Weekes props for that in the book. Relationship was gross but was supposed to read as such.

It's also gross on a sexuality level, because yay, more dysfunctional lesbian relationships, thanks Bioware.

AND Briala is a person of color( and an fictional race that is marginalized so even the "colorism doesn't exist in game argument, while always crap, is esp crap there) so it's gross to have a white human tromping all over her like that dysfunction is romantic and not straight up gross.

In conclusion, protect Briala 2k5.

To be fair, Bioware isn't known for making functional straight relationships either. All the love in bioware stories is complicated.

Here's the problem with being offended by something. Movies, music, video games, books, t-shirts and what ever else people are offended by only have as much power over you as you CHOOSE to give them. If you find something offensive, you are making a CHOICE to be offended and thus giving said thing power over you.

Had a cat growing up, but have not had one as adult. Only pet I have now is a Red Knee Tarantula.

I have two cats. One sat on a lollypop (kiddo left it out) the other day and now he has a giant bald spot because it was so embedded in his fur. He is ordinarily a magnificent looking beast, but, lmao. Right now he looks like a bit of a dumbo.
