seekers have different powers i believe. And he takes it again in the comics so its requiredI suppose part of it is. Though hearing Alistairs views on Lyrium in DA:O pretty much confirmed what I was thinking the moment I learned about Lyrium. "the Chantry controls the supply of lyrium, and thus they control the Templars." Also when he said that Templars do not need Lyrium to use their talents, its just makes their talents more powerful, was also a huge red flag for me. Because the moment Templars finish their vows they are expected to take Lyrium. So there is no telling how powerful their talents can become without it. Also, Seekers are proof that you don't need Lyrium to shutdown magic.
She's awesome. I'm not saying I ever agree with her or anything like that but she's an excellent character who's great fun to have around, if only for that voice!
Oh hell yes. It must be done.
But I do wonder....

Personally, I don't look at comics or other media as cannon in less the writers of games story outright say it is. Simply because things can become really convoluted really quick if you do. Heck they can become convoluted even if the writers say such things are cannon. Just look at comics.
Also, to me Seekers getting their abilities by different means does not change much. Both use their abilities to shutdown and counter magic. One does this by creating addicts and the other does not.

well technically gaider said the books and comic are tangelity related. They happened... but maybe not as not exactly.Personally, I don't look at comics or other media as cannon in less the writers of games story outright say it is. deception... was a travestySame here. Especially if it's a Mass Effect one, those are bad for f****** up their own lore.
How could anyone ever do anything to make that face look sad?
They could talk about elves. Or magic. Or politics. Maybe haircuts?

The others were good. It's just that one that is awful. Notoriously, infamously, awfully so.

Oh, sure, you could do that. But why would you?

I like elves, politics and hair?
So... I'm becoming a friggin' weaponry buff.
I swear. If I could learn this much about weapons...
What can I learn about other, useful for a civ, stuff?
werent we supposed to get rewrite
That was the plan. Probably right up to the point that everyone threw a strop over the way ME3 ended....

You're not going to get on well with Sera then! ![]()

you can always learn self defense. ![]()
you can always learn self defense.
Well, I'd like to learn a bit of archery, maybe swordsmanship.
Slings are also pretty interesting, now that I got to know more about them.
Imagine being seriously injured by a sling in war. Insult to injury. Quite literally.
That's actually the best thing about ancient weaponry. We have advanced so much that now we have protection from MODERN weapon systems.
But what we dropped to protect againist those, is protection from older weapon systems. And yeah, that's a fancy way of me saying "SWORDS YO"
While modern equipment might be of decent protection againist firearms, it simply won't match a sword, if it gets in range.
Also, people are not generally trained in swordsmanship. It's a weapon completely alien to modern battlefields.

Imo everyone, especially females, should learn self defense. Though you need to learn something that has been proven effective, unlike most self defense courses. Krav Maga or Sambo are the only two self defense based fighting styles worth learning.
So the end of Thousand Cuts I always end up right where the monster is, and then I backflip away. Makes sense to me, I do that in real life all the time...
But when I was fighting Hivernal a few minutes ago, that didn't go so well. Thousand Cuts ended as the dragon was flying into the sky, and I ended the move hiiiiigh above the ground, then fell all the way down.
Maybe I should wait until they land from now on.

I did that... in the hinterlands and accidently got myself stuck in a tree. Couldn't get down, had to swap party members!
Why oh why didn't I take a screenshot?

Since I'm playing with a controller now, I'm always on the couch and far from the screenshot key... and I don't think about it because couch.

Leather chairs. Joker fell for one in the Normandy SR-2's cockpit... So did I for one in front of my PC. Cozy...

it's a matter of taste, really. Everyone that practices an martial art/self-defense will say that theirs is the best. IMO, all martial arts are effective, if use correctly ofc.
