It was the way he said "duelist". But that could be North American sure. Hard to tell from a short clip.

*backpedals furiously*

I swear someone said they were from Northern Ireland though...

Yeah Crim's from the Republic of Ireland. Not the same as a Northern Irish accent. Not that I can tell, clearly. ;)

I'm a New Zealand ex pat living in Australia, so it's kinda f***** my accent.

Still, it was weird hearing myself recorded.
Weirder still that it got a positive reaction.

Thanks everyone :)

Hah! Of course you are! I do recall you saying now.

I'm blaming the brevity of the clip.

Ah it's cool. My longer recordings were expletive laden since I kept forgetting the words, so it was that confusing brief one or nothing.

Been living with Australians for too long methinks.

I just saw the thread. :( I made a really high tier outfit for Solas earlier, but I was so focused on making the ugliest thing possible for him, I didn't check the armor stats afterwards. Imma be so mad if I log back on and its gone from 260 armor to 0. :x

CRAFTING IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS GAME, cryyyy. :(

(at least we can still do it so I can make pretty outfits and whatnot, but looks like finishing my NIghtmare PT is on the back burner, because I rely on crafting OP armor and weapons to do it, lmao)

Wait, I'm not going to start the game up when exams are done, and find that Lyna no longer has twice the armor of my tanks, right.

It was a thing earlier today. Read the damn pages you missed Poodle!!!

It was through this voice thing we discovered that:

- Veeia doesn't sound like She-Hulk

- Uncle is a show off doing his in French instead of using these...woooorrrrdsss.

- And Monkey should be out making money off his voice.

Also, Uncle sounds... surprisingly young.

Yeah, Crim's very Irish. I heard.

Good luck getting her here.

Well, definitely surprisingly... young. I can't quite judge the quality of French.

Grammar: top notch.

Sentence structure: top notch

Pronunciation: Good. Traces of European French accent, but still detectable English influence. Very clear.

Speech flow: Hesitant. You didn't sound sure of your words.

A good performance. You can be proud. :)

There you have it, from a teacher, no less.

So, is that A, or did it drop into B quality? :P

I live in Northern Ireland and can understand her just as well as any other character, the accents and slang here are much worse haha.

I knew someone said it! *dodgy memory*

I can't really judge from that sample. Although I did have a few written convos with Uncle in French...

Going from that and the sample, I think he scores an E.

Spoiler

Edit: @Poodle. I still break into giggles whenever I try to record the steamy parts. I just can't do it. XD

Oddly "female inquisitor's love interest" isn't something that I have tried to say very often in French... ;)

@Serza, no. I've investigated more, past the BIOWARE!!!! hyperbole train and it seems to be contained to crafted shields, and most people are able to get the armor rating on shields they craft after the patch. So, bleh, but workable. And doesn't affect me since my tank in the game I'm playing at the moment is Blackwall and he's on permanent Cheese Wheel duty.

E... Isn't that... like... barely better than F?

I still haven't got a clue how grades actually work the moment I cross the border.

Oh, and also... wasn't that much of problem to write that stuff, was it...?

Read the spoiler. ;) I am not part of the regular school system where they use the standard A, B, C, system. I work for a private company that provides language lessons to government employees. The ratings are, from highest to lowest, E, C, B, A, X.

So getting an A on your government language test is not particularly good. ;)

You know, that would suck.

On top of having like double the armor on my Mage (at the cost of no upgrades to the armor, Dalish Scout Armor...) I have shields with... I think it was around 48? armor rating on both of my tanks (Cass and THE WALL - I roll a two-tank-mage-rogue, adding Sera in) so... That'd suck.

Ouch. that would suck if you don't have the materials to remake them. What are they made of? I so rarely make shields so I'm not familiar with the armor rating spectrum there. Hopefully it's an easier to replace resource like Silverite?

Also hopefully this gets fixed quickly.

I feel actual Sera dialogue would make for more entertaining reading.

The book I'm reading right now (kind of neo-sword-and-sorcery) is about a couple of mercenaries, a man and a woman, who are both extremely competent fighters and have a relationship of mutual respect and trust. Which is awesome.

One of the nicer things to come out of my attempts at reading women's military history have been stories of mutual respect and men just being cool about it.

I think they actually are made of Silverite. That's a fairly easily replaceable resource. I just go to Emprise, farm the cave, get 30-ish Silverite, come back.
