I mean, Cassandra as lesbian.
Whats the problem if she were bisexual? She would still be romancable for female characters.

So I'm wondering about recruitment order. Will we get Sera in time to take her to a fancy orlesian ball and see her mess with the nobles?

I'm thinking it will mostly depend on the player when they run into certain companions.

Yes, that.
I wish we had Cassandra, really.

If Sera is in Orlais, that might be possible, since I imagine Vivienne will be throwing a party in the Inquisitor's honor in the country.
I'm not sure you'd want to take Sera on the Orlesian Ball mission unless you want it to fail.
Which could be a good thing for you.
I'm thinking it will mostly depend on the player when they run into certain companions.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
If Cassandra is straight I will probably blubber over a bowl of ice cream for awhile though.
I just might join you. It's summer after all and Ben & Jerry's does a great mint cookie ice cream.

So long as we don't have a return of that hideous party outfit from MotA, I'll be happy.

I'm reasonably confident she will be in Orlais by the game's timeframe, although FoRJ apparently only operate in Ferelden and Kirkwall.

The point is more "Sera's apparent conduct is distressing me and I wish she wasn't the lesbian representative."
After seeing reactions on the boards I'm not sure that it wouldn't have been more popular. I don't really understand it but it seems that a fairly large number of people don't care for Cassandra's look personally I find her to be gorgeous.
It's funny but surprising, most straight dudes don't find Cass that appealing and they would rather romance Sera but most gay women do love Cass. And yet she may end up as the straight option.
If she was a lesbian and Sera straight, most people would be happy I think (straight males and gay women) considering by what I saw here in the BSN.
I could be wrong though.

Cass has both a huge straight male and bi/gay female following, it's just that the female following is more into fanstuff (arts/fic/cosplay/etc) and also more vocal about it.

True.
And yet i've seen more straight males complaining about Cass's looks.

And some people like that about Sera

I've never seen anyone who backed her up on depersonalizing and attacking Cole.

Most people don't blame Sera for it because they look at it from her perspective, and we still don't know how Sera is truly gonna treat Cole until the game comes out
True.

You have not idea how I'm delighting myself in Bioware pushing gamers (male/female/straight/gay/whatever) out of their comfort zone with non-generic woman, and better, still I found them even more beatiful than your run of the mill fashion model moonlighting as warrior. ![]()

At the same time this desire to be so non generic kind of pisses me off in a way. They make characters who many would consider physically stereotypically gay and then seemingly for the sake of "breaking the mold" make them straight. I'm really not sure why Bioware especially seems to enjoy doing this. There are actual queer people who personally fit and find those stereotypes attractive, that's why they exist, lol.

Well go figure lesbians have varied personalities and some sometimes not positive traits. I'm less worried about representation and more about what content is available to me, and I would be thrilled with Cass and Sera.

Cassandra seems to have the biggest fanbase (among the female companions) to me in general. Lots of people wanted to romance her since DA2 and she has that movie where she kicks ass and stuff. Basically, we know more about her right now.

Who is stereotypically gay?
Do you mean there are more straight males complaining on her appearance then those who like her, or that there are more straight males then lesbians/straight females/gays complaining about her?True.
And yet i've seen more straight males complaining about Cass's looks.

This is more how I envisioned Sera:

What do you guys/girls think??

Aveline comes to mind, but she wasn't romancable by anyone so that's whatever. The one that really annoyed me was Jack in ME2 because if you talk to her she comes right out and tells you she has slept with women before, and yet she's unavailable to femshep because...I have no idea, lol.
True.

For the most part, the complaints have to do with how she looks manly and not feminine enough, which I don't get. Like, I dunno, is it her haircut? Because I'm pretty sure a woman can have short hair and still be 'feminine'. I personally know someone like that.
Regardless, I think Cassandra looks fantastic. I liked her in DA2 and I have no doubt she's going to rock this time around.
This might make me sound shallow, but I'm sorry: Sera has a face only a mother can love.Obviously everyone has different tastes, but I feel like Bioware relied too heavily on the stereotype of lesbian = butch tomboy. I get that they wanted her to be kind of like a scruffy street urchin type, but why did she have to end up looking like this?? She looks like an angry troll.(And I'm not trying to be a troll here. I think Sera sounds like such a cool character, I just wish Bioware had tried a little harder to make her look more like the concept art...)

I think that edited version is terrible, honestly. I like her better how she is.
*snip*
What do you guys/girls think??
I like her appearance as is enough.

Did you make any changes aside from her eye color and having her not glare? Because facial expressions change.
Oh, I suppose her face is somewhat narrower. Eh.
