I'm pretty sure like the knife throwing scene that would just be the prelude to her Ryan Gosling him.

She is?!

Glad she isn't, all things considered.

Well, it's not really...

Bah. Just me, and my beliefs. Why make it long and messy, if you can go for the quick and clean way.

And the 47 remark is a joke.

It would be horrible, but I think I'd still rather be screaming in agony from a leg injury than dead on the floor with an arrow through my brain stem... ;)

Well, uh... chances are, anyone does that, they will want to finish you off.

Sera would certainly finish the noble in her recruitment off if she missed the killshot.

For me, it depends. Does the arrow to the face kill me instantly?

If it paints the wall with your brains?

Human body can be both suprisingly resilient, and surprisingly fragile.

But losing your brain to an arrow sounds as a quick purchase of a one-way ticket to me.

"I used to be an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow to the knee."

*googles* Oh it's a Skyrim reference. Confession time: I've never actually played Skyrim.

Ah but maybe the Herald would have time to intervene. A chance at life is still better than certain death.

I was thoroughly unimpressed by it. A vast beautiful world populated by ugly wooden poorly-acted characters with no personalities, in which your character cannot actually be roleplayed because nobody ever reacts to anything you do.

My opinion, strangely, is not universally shared.

I know right? Even my brother-in-law who doesn't play RPGs has played Skyrim. I don't know why. I just look at Bethesda games and don't want to play them. I'm weird. I realise this.

I noticed the other night that she also freaks out quite badly when Coryphenus's dragon/archdemon thing turns up at Haven, which is odd given how much she loves fighting dragons later in the game...

I loved Skyrim for that very reason. I can roleplay someone who prefers to be left alone without people bothering me. Once they gave us an option to build our own house in the middle of nowhere (swamp house for the win!), I just settled there in peace. *bliss*

Skyrim had more in common with Minecraft than a RPG, but that's probably why I loved it so much. XD

Well I would not be as harsh as Eirene about Skyrim. I found it enjoyable and sank a lot of time into it. However Eirene does have a point in that the npc's you interact with in Skyrim are less well written than the Dragon Age series and the impact of your choices in Skyrim, and you do make some, seem less heavy or as weighty as in Dragon Age series.

Elder Scrolls are fun games but Dragon Age offers a little more to think about when weighing choices in game or for well-written characters. But Skyrim is really cheap these days so if it's on a Steam sale and you've some free time have a look. Most people seem to prefer it with tons of mods to make the experience better.

I understand. It was by no means a perfect game and in many ways flawed. I happen to have enjoyed it a lot, though. There was just something about it that pulled me in.

If you want to play it, now is as good a time as any. Most of the glitches have been squashed and all game updates are in. Just keep in mind that you're looking at a minimum of 200-300 hours of playtime. :D

That /\ I enjoyed Skyrim cause I could ignore the main plot for stretches (easily ignorable) and just roam about and make chaos. I also found the crafting side of things...*bliss* but where I would find hunting for a set amount of nails or timber to build my dream house enjoyable others might find it tedious. Depends on your mood or what you want from games at specific times I guess.

I still think Dawnguard is one of the best DLCs ever made. And funnily enough, it's for a game in which story is marginal at best.

She said last night that she was born in the Dominican Republic, has lived in the US and now Puerto Rico, so...

I detected that. love her voice. all 4 seconds of it.

I went back and listened to most of your voices. Duel you sound cool as hell. Rage you sound straight Cali. Poodle sounds nothing like I imagined but then neither does Uncle. Veeia bled my ears but I love her voice lol. Cap sounds EXACTLY like I thought she would. And of course lady is my fav right now.

I preferred the Dawnguard story to the main quest the game shipped with. Uncle if you do buy it only buy it if you get the Dawnguard DLC. The Dragonborn one was less interesting but still fun. But I enjoyed the vampire plot immensely especially the part where you have to go to the vale to retrieve a special bow. It was spectacularly animated and the scene eye candy made me pause every couple of seconds to just say "oh gosh, oh my."

Bethesda games fill me with a very special kind of apathy. There is just nothing interesting, or impressive, or stylish about them on any level.

A lot of people complain about how useless the pickpocket tree is, but I say it's worth it to make all the guards in Solitude walk around naked. :D

Dawnguard was good and Serana is awesome, but the main goal of the vampires hinges on a giant cube of fridge logic (put out the sun, everything dies. Including you, dum dum.). The Dawnguard armor is sweeeet looking.

Then Dragonborn brings Stalhrim. I love the light armor version, except the helmet. Giant insect antennas. Silly.

And Heartfire gives the ability to bake potato bread... yes, it's a big deal! (tasty, tasty potato bread...)

I've had Fallout 3 sitting in my Steam account for ages after I got it in the sale once, and I still haven't played it! :D I do enjoy the wandering around and crafting in DAI, as evidenced by my huge playtimes, but I love the characters in BioWare games so much. That sense of companionship is what draws me back to their games again and again, I think.

I also have abandoned playthroughs of The Witcher, Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, which I'm allegedly supposed to love, according to various people. I suppose I have peculiar tastes.
