That's very true. There were variations across the regions I visited but it was all uniformly outstanding and not uncommon for a very big meal to be very cheap too. I still salivate over the memory of a tortellini con gorgonzola that I had in a Trat in Firenze. I can sense it's smell and texture and just how delicious it was a few decades later.

But what I really miss is the walking. It's not as fun in North America. "Oh a strip mall...wow...oh hey look a McDonalds...neat" as opposed to "I think that building facade might be Bernini or Michelangelo but regardless it's pretty cool!"

The beauties of North America are in the wild. We have so much space!

I drink almond milk. the moo cow milk scares me these days.

Almond milk is one of my favourite drinks, expecially in summer, accompanied by these:

There was a time, back when I had motivation to actually make things, when I used to make smoothies with fruit and berries and almond milk. I was trying to be healthier.

You shame me. I stand corrected. This is truth! North America's got the natural thing going and it's natural beauty is where it shines. I love taking long drives into rural areas to go to farmer's markets and the like and I will slow as much as I can just to look at the greeny stuff! Quebec is an awesome place too. I really enjoyed Montreal as a city and it's one of the best places I've ever been to. However I could tell that the country around Montreal is pretty awesome and I recall some mountains in the distance I really wanted to visit. Maybe next time!

I used to bake things all the time. I'd bake things and give them to people I knew. I kind of miss doing that now.

every minute is a chance to turn it around. I mean if that is truly important, you'll find your way back.

It seems you used to do a lot of things that you no longer do? How come?

She said last night that she was born in the Dominican Republic, has lived in the US and now Puerto Rico, so... That, I guess. She does sound like a native Spanish speaker, as far as that super-short clip allows me to tell.

Ah, shes Latina then. So am I. Most would never guess it but I'm 100% Puerto Rican. But I don't speak any Spanish and I've got that TV american accent. lol

It's something we ("we" as in people who live in Sicily) call "brioche": a kind of soft and sweet bread, that it's usually cut in half and stuffed with ice cream; the thing on the top is detachable and you can use it as a sort of spoon for the ice cream. It's absolutely delicious:

Yorkshire has some beautiful scenery, but you're also never far from a good pub. Win-win... ;)

Not everyone and not always. Half a glass of red wine a day is good for your health though.

Well, I'm not Italian, I wouldn't really know!

I did drink a lot of wine while there. I think it's a law or something. But I consumed a lot of it and it was outstanding.

Not sure if it's a law, the rumor is they do it after every food. Proven wrong by Artie just a few posts back!

So she shot you with a crossbow, but she's the one who holds a grudge?

Yeah, that does sound strange...

Beautiful. Reminds me of home a little bit. Except for all the heavy industry that pops out every now and then. Small country, and this part is very industry-heavy.

I really fancy visiting the Polish restaurant near our place now. Thanks Eirene...

You know, I never really understood why, but people seem to hate the Polish around here quite a bit...

Maybe it's just me. I don't really have a serious problem with them, just a little... bad experience.

Heck, people from across the country tell my friend he's Polish (even though he's not) and mean it as an insult.

It's soooo long though. I'd definitely prefer to do Touch the Sky. Ultimately it depends on which version has the best karaoke video, lol.

Hah it's funny but you're the second Quebecois to suggest I visit Lake Louise in the past three months! Done! It's added to the "Future Quebec Visits" agenda!

Ok, we don't get this.

I don't think I've ever seen a natural body of water this size, actually.

And even if, all we get is this ugly, dirty water that's bound to give you a sickness or two if you swim in it.

The only place that might have clean water in the entire district is... well, the source of water for the entire valley.
