I was thinking along the lines of Milla Jovovich's hairstyle (and color) from the Resident Evil: Extinction movie.  It also keeps that 'I cut my own hair with a razor and don't care' randomness.

It's funny but surprising, most straight dudes don't find Cass that appealing and they would rather romance Sera but most gay women do love Cass. And yet she may end up as the straight option.
If she was a lesbian and Sera straight, most people would be happy I think (straight males and gay women) considering by what I saw here in the BSN.


I could be wrong though.

I suspect that if Cassandra had been announced as a lesbian, you'd get just as many (if not more) straight men lamenting her loss and just as many lesbians hanging around the Sera thread expressing a desire to romance her.

It's difficult to say what 'gay women' want based on the forums because there are like... six of us? And it's not as though we represent gay female gamers in general, just lesbians who'll hang around the Dragon Age forum forever and talk about romance.

That said, if they announce Cassandra is straight, I'm going to cry.

Actually, I think it's highly probable that we will. I doubt Bioware would repeat the "most plot-centric LIs are only straight" fiasco they committed in DAO.

You could be right, but at this point I dont see how anything is more plausible since we know very little about Vivienne and literally nothing about Scribbles, lol.

True but aren't all Orlesians exotic? It make sense for Vivienne to be bi and well, Scribbles hopefully is an LI we just need a name and some background info!

• Cassandra is butch so she's a lesbian.
• Vivienne is Orlesian so she's bisexual.
• I don't know who Scribble is, but that makes her straight.

Works for me.

I see no real reason to assume that Vivienne or Cassandra are more likely to be straight or bisexual than each other.

I don't see what your getting at. Orlais is into more keen on bisexual or lesbian/gay people than other countries.

Orlesians are not more likely to be gay or bisexual than anyone else in Thedas, they just happen to be more accepting of it. They see it as a quirky character trait.

1) Shock or Disbelief - No, Cass isn't straight.

2) Denial - They wouldn't pull another Morrigan and Varric's comment in DA 2 means nothing and it was obvious she had no interest in him in the film because it was a FRIENDLY kiss.

3) Anger - Why couldn't they have gone with all bi?! I bet if Sheryl had written this character, she'd have made her bisexual. It's like David wants to write romances for everyone *but* lesbians. Now I have to deal with a bunch of gloating straight men, fun times.

4) Bargaining - Why not make Vivinenne straight? Or Sera? Or Scribbles?

5) Guilt - I shouldn't have been so mean to David. This is what happens when I get my hopes up. Why can't I just appreciate what I have?

6) Depression - It doesn't matter. Just a stupid game. I'm just going to curl up on my bed and cry now.
