Okay, I'm done trying to backtrack and find who said what cause I haven't run across anything super offensive.  

 

 

Any of you tries to Safeword me you'll find out just how offensive I can be.  I'll break your graphics cards.  With TEXT ONLY.  And then you can warning point me or ignore me and etc. etc.  Action - Consequence/Reaction - Reaction/Consequence and so on and so on.  As it should be.

 

I will censor myself as I see fit and thats either enough or isn't, and you will either ignore me, or you won't, which is your right, and I will either stay or leave which is my right.

 

This thread was made for people who like Sera, those of us who are not squarely in that category especially, if our presence or humor is offensive should curb that if we want to stay, or find other homes. People shouldn't feel uncomfortable here when they come to discuss Sera and be on topic.  Likewise,  people offend each other, and either you can control yourself and not offend, and handle what others say that offends you, or you can't.  Censorship isn't an answer, maturity and respect is.

 

No one gets it both ways, no one gets to be totally accepting, and yet claim offense at whatever they want, or have unrealistic expectations of others, and no one should want it both ways, nor should they feel bad for setting personal limits for themselves on what they will accept from others. Life doesn't work that way, its not perfect, and it doesn't mean people are 'good' or 'bad'.  Sometimes its not the right thread or the right setting for a comment. You have to strike a balance, limits, and if people fall outside them, then you can't feel guilty for taking steps to ignore/avoid/exclude/address those people as you see fit.

Iron Bull is one of my favorites!!  Solas, Iron Bull, Sera, Josephine are all threads I read,  I really should get in the other threads too...but only have so much time

Like I said I never took the safeword stuff seriously at all, but I do skim-read sometimes when the thread is moving fast so maybe I missed something.

 

All I ever wanted to do was to try to show Poodle the way some of the things he said could be taken by others. He claims not to want to upset anyone and I've no reason to doubt his sincerity, but he clearly managed to make a few people uncomfortable, and not just Dazzle and Kasumi. I'd never try to make him shut up or leave, though. That's the mods' job, should he break forum rules.

More of a declarative statement then a defense, but good to know. 

 

while I don't want people to be uncomfortable and there were comments I don't approve of, I don't have any major issue with any regular in this thread or how they have behaved.  I also have zero problem with any others who have chosen to either ignore or avoid people who offend them.  That is their right and their choice, for themselves.  Not everyone gets along perfectly, and thats okay. and its not even about getting along or liking.  If people don't want to be forced to deal with things or see certain things here, there is nothing wrong with that, which includes if someone does that to me.
