Origins is just an awesome game. I didn't even know you could fight at the Landsmeet. If Anora betrays you, everybody getting touched. Bann Alfstanna and a couple other nobles were on the floor fighting on the side of my warden, Divina Amell. That is the only time that happened. idk what happened to Anora in that playthrough.

I think I'm going to completely go through DAO and DA2 again soon. I'm kind of in the mood for that.

I just want a remake of DA:O with Inquisition's graphics and gameplay. Yummy!

Yeah, I think if you don't have enough nobles on your side you have to fight for it. God I love Origins, I wish that they could recreate that type of game again. *sigh*

My favorite area in DAI is Fallow Mire because of how linear it feels, I know a lot of people probably feel different but it's in my comfort zone. The whole math shortest distance between two points is a straight line, I just can't loose my math geekiness it seems. grinding through some of the areas in this game is such a chore.

I think I'm going to have to pull out DAO and DA2 again as I want to try couple of things that I never tried before, stupid me. I think it was Crim that first mentioned the oblivious warden and the journal so I want to try that and now Eirene mentioned how much better the rivalmance is with Isabela so I want to try it.

Leli's thread was the catalyst for my current DAO run. But I was playing it before Inquisition dropped. i just...never get tired of hearing those same conversations with everybody for the millionth time.

You know...i've never done US. The default WS is a female Dalish elf who does the US. That's who i'm playing as but idk that i could do it.

@Danielle I believe she betrayed my Warden because I told her there was no way to save Loghain and he would definitely die. That was the only thing I did differently in that run. Divina Amell really didn't like Loghain and didn't hide it. She blamed him for all of her dead friends at the Circle even if Uldred was directly responsible...Loghain was the puppetmaster to her.

I did it once then went back and changed it as I got sad puppy eyes looking at Leliana and dog. Weak I know but that's me. :)

The only way I would be able to do the US is to not recruit dog and no Leliana romance and that would have it's own difficulty.

I thought that Emprise du Leon was quite linear too. Plenty of bits where you basically have to go down a corridor. I enjoy the big open areas, but I did relish the change of pace.

That one would be one of my favorites also, the Hinterlands is a chore but I don't mind it because I need the power and there are quite a few approval points but some of the areas get old quick for me. I kind of like The Hissing Wastes but I may be swayed by the fact that it has the coolest merchant in the whole game. :)

Without that merchant the Hissing Wastes is as good as nothing. :D

Its odd..

It should be easy to let Stroud die . For one he is none with whome we had a past story . And second , he is a warden . His code is to sacrifice himself for the greater good...

So with that...he should be the best choice to die in the fade .

I chose hawke, I think because of something hawke himself says, saying he should be the one.  Plus Hawke is tougher than stroud.  If they are staying behind to buy time I want someone who is actually going to buy me some time, not get killed quickly.

I mean I"m going to change the choices depending on headcanon for future, but that was my first playthrough reaction.

But with the merchant, it's quarries and logging stands which I usually need and the dwarf story that I kind of like, it's not too bad.

How many people know what Jennifer Hale or Ali Hillis look like compared to those who've heard their voices?

I've seen Jennifer Hale

You actually get the best two-handed sword in the game as well, though I don't imagine that's of particular concern to most players since 2H Warriors don't seem too popular in this game.

Two handed warriors aren't popular with me in any DA game. They just don't appeal to me. No issue with them for those who enjoy that kind of thing, however. The lack of decent longswords and especially schematics is annoying, though.

My point was more that, considering how many people have been exposed to their work, they're very much unknown, as compared to a film or TV actor, a musician or a stand-up comedian. It's not a profession where people are looking at you...

Of course. I mean compare how many people know who Claudia Black is vs even a well known talent like Jennifer Hale.  If you actually asked a 1000 gamers, I bet more would know of Claudia Black, even though they've probably been exposed to Jennifer Hale's voice in far more games than shows they've seen Claudia act in. Yes I know she was in long running tv shows, but each show is what, 43 minutes?  How many hours do gamers spend playing and replaying games?  I mean anyone who has gone completionist on MGS4 alone has probably spent hundreds of hours listening to Jennifer Hale in that game alone. I mean have you looked at the list of games she's in?

Then add in her own voice work in tv shows, although I haven't watched practically any of the animated shows she's done voices for, but still thats a ton of work to balance out anything Claudia's done.

((I enjoy both talents btw, not suggesting one is better, just demonstrating Uncle's point))

Definitely agree about the longswords. It's like they forgot about them.

Being bugged hasn't helped their cause (although the patch has fixed this apparently) but for the most part, sword n shield is just better.

This, just this!!!  The story in that game, how you can influence it, ((and the persuasion options)) just awesome.  I loved being able to fight through on one playthrough, and then talk through everything on the other.  Except for Ser Cauthrien, stupid Poison bug.....

Just...yeah its just awesome.

I played as S&S Warrior all the way through lvl 18-20, then I respec'd as a 2H Warrior. I was actually surprised by well the transition worked. But still, S&S is ultimately the better option of the two.

What was bugged?

The detonators. For me (and many others), using Mighty Blow or Whirlwind resulted in a massive 1 damage.

It worked on paralysed enemies though.

EDIT: They worked just fine though, just not as detonators.

When I discovered hardened gurn leather would let me make purple armor, I went gurn hunting in Hissing Wastes for a while. They still sing songs to the vanished gurns of the wastes.

Priorities.
