Actually the way varric talk about Bela....at first I though the game didnt recognize my keep save . I had to hear it from Hawke that she was with Bela .
And I second that , friend bela is good for a no judging blood Mage Hawke (wich I always do...) . And I always make a warrior noble voice for rival Bela . Its hard work..but so worth it in the end...

I chose hawke, I think because of something hawke himself says, saying he should be the one. Plus Hawke is tougher than stroud. If they are staying behind to buy time I want someone who is actually going to buy me some time, not get killed quickly.
I mean I"m going to change the choices depending on headcanon for future, but that was my first playthrough reaction.
