Whoa.  It's like the Olympic flame of birthday cakes!

Hey..does that mean ya an Aquarius too ?

It went like this:

 

1. blinking bios cursor thingie
2. windows 8 logo with spinny thing underneath
3. black screen, but monitor light is on (getting signal)

Another restart was the same, but with monitor light blinking as if the computer was off. At one point I did get the desktop for a few seconds, and there was an error that said something something about graphics driver crash (I wish I could remember, it was fast), which is why when I finally got the desktop again I quickly downgraded the nvidia driver since I knew that had changed recently.

 

Now it's been working for like half an hour. I have to go somewhere for awhile now. Hopefully it will start fine later.

well maybe it was the driver..hopefully that was it . Cose that doesnt sound goood....

 

And Window 8...I use Window 7...so cant help ya there sorry .

Yup. I'm happy to discuss what I think and why I think it with anyone who fancies it, but I can't claim a monopoly on truth, and I'm massively distrustful of anyone who does. So long as you harm no-one and don't try to impose your belief system on the unwilling, who am I to tell you what to think?
