Never played it. (I know, shocker!
) Is it any good?
It's in my list of favourite games, so as far as I'm concerned yes, it's very good. ^^
If you like a challenge, it's worth a try. ![]()

I'm currently playing Lords of the Fallen which, from what I can tell, has a similar feel to Dark Souls. Never playing it, I can't really make an accurate comparison but I can tell you, that game is hard. I'm really struggling through it and can't even get through the first level. ![]()
I cannot watch anything to do with the slave trade. Django Unchained, 12 Years a Slave, Amistad, etcetera. Sure, they are great movies, I'm not denying that but I just get really uncomfortable seeing it.
Django Unchained was horrifically disturbing. Never again.

Disturbing, yes but a very good movie none the less. I loved the bit with Jonah Hill and all the KKK members. That bit was so funny.
(I don't support the KKK.)

I'm also gaming and stopping by the forum now and then, so I'm off and on.

I would have been fine with never seeing it.

That's a Quentin Tarantino movie for you
Hence why that is the first and only Tarantino film I'll ever see.
I'd much rather watch Scorsese any day.

Yeah... that actually makes me feel kind of down right now thinking about it...

It's not for everyone tastes
I personally enjoy his movies, Especially Django

I like dark dramas where most of the gore is faded out to black. You know exactly what has happened, but you don't need to experience it.

It was a Christmas present from my parents, although single malt is what I generally buy for myself. I've no great brand loyalty, though, so I buy whatever I can get on special offer...

*googles Lords of the Fallen*

Hmm, no, they're not exactly similar...this game seems more in the Witcher style, gameplay-wise. Dark Souls is more...how do you say? Twitch-based?
It relies on the skills of the player 100% of the time, to the point that if you know what you're doing you can beat the whole game without ever leveling up, or never upgrading your armour and weapons, or both, and so on.
It also allows you to play a female character, which is basically a requirement for me when it comes to buy a game that is even remotely a rpg.

And that's what sets Tarantino apart from others and make him very successful, he does it and doesn't give a f*ck lol ![]()

I guess I need to play Dark Souls to see for myself but I'll take your word for it. ![]()
I get what you are saying about playing as a female. I prefer games that give me the option because I generally prefer playing as a female character.
